  1. Not just me then. That moss is everywhere. Tough stuff too. Can't help you with the back rub, sorry
  2. Here in South Manchester it was mainly cloudy all morning. A cold breeze too. Spent 5 hours jet-washing the patio. I had wellies on but my feet were freezing. Typically the sun came out as I was packing everything away........
  3. @CryoraptorA303 on a serious note though- might be worth getting your thyroid function checked.
  4. How about the higher range then? Do you melt at 20°C? Evaporate at 30°C?
  5. I guess you just need to accept that you’re the anomaly and most other people feel cold and put the heating on when it’s 4c indoors
  6. Genuinely curious here too. What’s your indoor temp need to drop down to for you to put the heating on? Max outside here today was around 10c. Plus it was cloudy so there was no sun to heat the house. Indoor temp was around 15c which was uncomfortable. An hour with the CH on brought it up to 18c.
  7. Same here. Been fighting it but fingers got too cold and couldn't type.......
  8. Might be worth looking into Stockholm syndrome. I'm pretty sure you have an alternative idea what it relates to. It doesn't have much to do with winter coats and woolly hats........
  9. Fair enough. I just find it quite simple to highlight the text you want to quote in a reply. I honestly really like it so just surprised others don't! I've been on the forum for years but just as a reader rather than a contributor so maybe that's the difference. You post a lot so will take you longer to get used to it perhaps!
  10. You can reply directly to another member without context or you can quote a whole post or selection of a post to add that context. I'm not sure why it's considered a backwards step tbh.........
  11. Is it just me that finds this an improvement? Hopefully you will all get used to it
  12. Beautiful day today! Really gusty wind this morning but it died off during the afternoon. Went for a long walk and when out of the wind and in the sunshine it just made me yearn for springtime.
  13. That's a nice thought. I love cold and snow but hate this windy, mild and wet weather. I want to feel some strength in the sun and see the spring flowers blooming. Sadly I fear we're going to have a cold end to February and into March. (Not a forecast btw! Just a feeling)
  14. I agree, very confusing. I think an overview map is useful but you should be able to click on a county (or at least region) and get detailed information for that area.
  15. The text nearest to Macc is for a rain warning so I can understand why it's hard to work out. Best to click on the individual warnings and see the map for that particular alert.......
  16. The yellow warning you see is for wind, not rain. It's just the way it displays on the MetO warning map. When there are multiple warnings it's really not easy to decipher..........
  17. I take it you chose not to get off your backside and burn some calories yesterday then?
  18. True, but I would rather it had melted and gone than have to look at that dirty brown mess!
  19. It'll be gone by this time tomorrow. Personally I'd let nature do the work for me ............
  20. I sued to always look at this one in Salford for a reasonable estimate of my conditions - Paul's weather station Salford UK PHQFH.CO.UK This page is for displaying the information from my weather station with links to my weather satellite pages including PHQFH Diy Guide But it hasn't updated since May........ Perfect. Thanks @Dark Horse Most appreciated
  21. Cold night ahead. Does anyone have a link for a weather station in south Manchester please?
