  1. Hollybush tends to mark the start of the "snow line" down that way I think. It is still bafflingly dry in Dunoon at the moment, I reckon Arran is stealing all our snow. Not that it needs any...
  2. Still waiting in Dunoon, nothing happening yet...
  3. Yeah, I'm not in Ayrshire just now, festive period sees me back in the homeland of Dunoon. I'm waiting and looking down the Clyde with baited breath now.
  4. Nice one, am up at my parent's just now using their computer and don't have raintoday favourited on that computer so I had forgotten all about it - cheers for the reminder
  5. Any chance that, in the spirit of Christmas, someone could check out PA23 on the radar and give me a heads up on whether anything is heading that way? Got a decision to make about whether to go to bed or not
  6. Was just in the bookies there and they were commenting on the odds for a white Christmas in Glasgow being slashed to 4/5.
  7. I'm heading into Ayr for a night out soon, was excited at that thunder and lightning earlier too.
  8. Nothing is happening down here - IT WILL NEVER SNOW IN SOUTH AYRSHIRE AGAIN
  9. Just remove myself from the couch and looked out the window - we are back on - car re-covered!
  10. Oh yeah, pretty sleety, I have faith it will turn to snow as the evening goes on though
  11. Is anything heading our direction in the decent part of Ayrshire?
  12. Have a wee look at the radar and let me know if anything is heading for KA6 6NP if you will It's getting windier and darker but still frustratingly dry. EDIT - this is a general request to anyone
  13. Yeah, I noticed that as well Still a moderate risk though, let's look on the bright side.
  14. This will turn to snow eventually, right? Come on, someone? Someone needs to tell me what to think!
  15. Starting to cloud over nicely in Coylton, anticipation building...
  16. Yeah, Prestwick has warmed up to 4c - that will cool down once the clouds roll in, right? Please.
  17. Couple of inches, nothing major really, looking forward to the next few hours right enough <_<
  18. I reckon you should stick up a cheeky wee nw radar shot for us!I would subscribe but I had to cancel my credit cards the other day due to my wallet sliding down the side of the bed and me not being able to find it in the 15 minutes before I left for work. I drove into Ayr earlier to go to Morrisons for breakfast and felt like a king with my big pile of snow on my car whilst the poor Ayr dwellers only had a little covering.
  19. It was up at 6c an hour ago, that's quite remarkable!
  20. It's not the SFA really, it's the SPL, they are even worse than the SFA though.
  21. Raining in Coylton now with a couple of sleet like bits in the middle of it - that is me really clutching at straws! Actually, getting more sleety now over the last 30 seconds. Actally, bigger snowflakes now but not as heavy. Actually, stopped now. Ooh, just got heavier again.
  22. Football reporter guy on the radio says it is snowing in Kilmarnock now.
  23. Just got really dark in Coylton in Ayrshire, looking forward to the inevitable rain now...
  24. Is it bad I only come on here at these exciting times? Anyway, my amateur knowledge suggests it's baltic out there and I would be confident of any wet stuff falling from the sky being in the form of snow regardless of whether we are near the coast or not!
