Generally I don't pay to much attention to the models showing Scandi Highs in Winter at long range as they're such a rare beast.
However, when I see run to run consistency like this, then my interest increases.
Will the signal still be there tomorrow though!
The really cold air actually comes through this evening with very low dew points. A harsh and widespread frost for sure with an ice day for some tomorrow.
Any snow confined mainly to Northern areas again I think.
It's actually stopped snowing here and the precipitation band is to the North, so I'm hoping to avoid the rain and sleet.
All this potentially means is a -AO.
The form horse would be for the Trop PV to move into Canada and the States firing up the jet and leaving us under zonal conditions.
Looking at models so far there doesn't seem much snow around at all with this trough, mainly rain with the Scottish central belt getting the best of it.
