  1. Forecast looks much the same as today. Snow in the North and dry in the South. Not holding out for anymore than a flurry at best.
  2. They're all dieing a death before they get anywhere near here. All pretty much as expected though. Some great snow up North though.
  3. Why? Because there is no continuity. We all know Scandi Highs are rare beasts and the models have backed off today.
  4. The next 48 hours are the coldest of this spell, so any snow should hang around. Not sure there will be enough for sledging though.
  5. Ah well. Back to the drawing board. I think a month end change is less probable now.
  6. You're primed on the North Coast fir sure. Hoping a few drift there way down here.
  7. Generally I don't pay to much attention to the models showing Scandi Highs in Winter at long range as they're such a rare beast. However, when I see run to run consistency like this, then my interest increases. Will the signal still be there tomorrow though!
  8. Lots of different views on here. I am a Christian, therefore the death of my body holds no fear for me.
  9. At 12pm I had a fantastic covering of snow about 4cm deep, at 4pm, all gone. What a disappointment.
  10. Heart breaking watching all that lovely snow getting washed away so quickly.
  11. Drip drip happening here now. Yes, keeping an eye on possible storm, but there seems to be lots of options at the moment.
  12. The really cold air actually comes through this evening with very low dew points. A harsh and widespread frost for sure with an ice day for some tomorrow. Any snow confined mainly to Northern areas again I think. It's actually stopped snowing here and the precipitation band is to the North, so I'm hoping to avoid the rain and sleet.
  13. Still non stop on Carryduff. A wee bit of altitude making all the difference.
  14. Weather radar says it should be raining here, but still snowing away.
  15. Possible sting jet? Still heaving it down in the Duff. Did not expect this at all. Brilliant. 20240116_080617.mp4
  16. Possible chance of the precipitation turning back to snow as the cold front comes through later this evening though.
  17. Don't ruin it Pomeroy! Nothing worse than a slush mess. This front is a lot more active than I thought it would be.
  18. A decent bit this morning too and still coming down. Most unexpected but very welcome. 20240116_063259.mp4
  19. All this potentially means is a -AO. The form horse would be for the Trop PV to move into Canada and the States firing up the jet and leaving us under zonal conditions.
  20. Looking at models so far there doesn't seem much snow around at all with this trough, mainly rain with the Scottish central belt getting the best of it.
