  1. This chart a long way out of course but the hp north of scandi and some hp over greenland caught my eye. Ive been thinking the last day or two looking at some of the charts of a possible chilly first week of Oct. Just a thought anyway.
  2. Got a max of 21.1 c yesterday,I hope thats the last time I see temps in the 20s till well into next spring. A nice fairly fresh and mostly clear morning here, lasts nights min 9.4c.
  3. Lol. Well Just a few more days for you to stick it out, more fresher for all at the weekend looks likely ATM. Autumn will get you eventually! Lol
  4. A mostly cloudy but refreshing day here, currently 16.8c. The heat lovers can go stuff their heat.
  5. My thoughts exactly. It might be all well and good for those who are looking forward to the heat much of the UK will get this week, but to me it's just yet more signs that the climate is changing. I also worry is the warmth there has been so far this month going to set an overall precedent for the coming months. Is it telling us the coming winter is going to be another stinker???? Those enjoying the warmth now but who also want a cold winter maybe should not be so smug in the current weather. Often you can't have your cake and eat it. How many decent winters in the last 20 odd yrs have followed warm autumns? Very few,off the top of my head only winter 2009/10 comes to mind.
  6. I find it a bit disturbing tbh,gw and all that. Anyway looks like my neck of the woods will be avoiding much of the heat britan will get next week thankfully.
  7. Funny isn't it ,those egging on the Azores high now,but in a few weeks time they will be cursing the bloody thing lol. Keep it the hell out of the way if possible IMO
  8. But the charts that were shown are from June 2016,they aren't from 1880. ??????
  9. The heat the charts show for France would surely be incredible for mid Sept if they came off. Scary if they do.
  10. It was 17.8c here a couple of hrs ago but has since risen to 19.5c. Starting to rain here now, presume the band that will hearald the arrival of the fresher weather behind it.
  11. For Oct ,I would like fantasy thoughts of deep northerlies from the Arctic giving Frost's and wintry precip. Haven't Autumn's been warm enough in recent yrs without the likes of that though? Summer had its chance. People egging on autumn warmth and heat and all this warmth would do is show us if proof were needed just how much our climate is changing IMO. No thanks
  12. Today felt a bit surreal for a sept day,I recorded a max of 25.9 c which was higher then anything I recorded during the summer of last yr.
  13. Today felt a bit surreal for a Sept day for my location. Felt like a warm spell during the middle of summer,Max temp of 25.9c which was warmer then any day during the summer of 2015. It wasn't as if it was wall to wall sunshine either as often it was partly cloudy here today.
  14. = sweat. The sooner this stuff is out of the way the better imo.
  15. God help us if that idiot gets elected,I have faith though that he won't. Idiots like him think for some reason they know better then scientific research ect, when the reality is they haven't a clue what they are talking about. Laughable but scary at the same time.
  16. Bright and dry this morning, warm night last night . Min of 18.0c ,currently 18.4c.
  17. Don't think they would make very good detectives as the evidence is staring us in the face. For people still in denial about man having an effect look what happened with the ozone layer due to man's use of CFC,s should be proof enough that mans activity can have an effect on the atmosphere.
  18. very muggy here too, temp 20.9c. To hell with this. Come on autumn show your face soon.
  19. What ever the weather has in store for us this Xmas at least the month of Dec will surely be colder then last dec. At least that is a starting point for those hoping for a white Xmas this year lol.
  20. Dull and miserable here, temp 16.7c, its like a world away here from what parts of the uk are getting lol. Not that i care much for heat anyway.
  21. Well I wouldn't mind that at at least up until the latter half of Oct. But that is what I'm fearing.
  22. so a very stong signal from the seasonal models for a warmer then average autumn. A real sickner, our autumns really are getting beyond a joke now. Autumn? Whats that? We dont get proper bloody autumns anymore.
  23. First day of the season that had that kind of autumn feeling about it,not temp wise but for its inclemency. Wet for most of the day although there was a brief brighter period in the early afternoon which allowed the temp to briefly hit 20c. Some very heavy showers this evening. I had to put the lights in my house on earlier this evening then i have had to for many weeks.
  24. This is what Roger posted on an Irish forum yesterday doesn't make for good reading for cold lovers if he is right. I suspect all three months of autumn will run 1-2 deg above normal and rainfall may be heavy or even excessive at times with the potential for strong windstorms by late October and November. If there is any cold air to be had this coming winter, it will probably wait for the second half of the season or even into March. There will be a few nice spells too and they could last up to a week in one or two cases at least for southeast counties which might also not be as wet or as windy in general terms; for Britain I am predicting a similar outcome for Scotland and Wales, northern England but more frequent blocking high pressure spells for southern England which may make the rainfall there closer to normal. It just looks to me as though west-central Europe and the east coast of North America will be favoured locations for upper ridges with a trough mid-Atlantic, strong zonal flow and not much if any high latitude blocking to disrupt a mild pattern. He is usually not too far side of the mark, god though I couldn't take another dire autumn/winter season.
