  1. Lol great post. I would take a whole month or two of soggy mild south-westerlies if we could just have one epic prolonged cold spell.
  2. Can't go a single day without being reminded that it's november. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of how the calendar works.
  3. How is it looking for us coldies? Usually I can browse through the mod thread and get a pretty good idea how things are going but I am clueless this evening. There seems to be mix of opinions but am I right in saying we're looking at a 2-3 day cold snap with rain/sleet at lower levels in the south?
  4. Those forecasts from the MetO in November 2010 seem well under-estimated to what actually happened at the end of the month. Not criticising the MetO, I just love how unpredictable the weather can be at times. Some of the best snow events I can remember were either under-estimated or completely unexpected.
  5. Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what the charts were showing for December 2010 a month beforehand?
  6. Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather W COUNTRY Area of snow now imminent into Bath area.Trajectory then takes it W to Bristol & environs. Light-moderate rates on rada
  7. Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather W COUNTRY Radar indicating zone of sleet and snow edging W into Wiltshire and likely to gradually spread further W to other districts from ian
  8. Ok, I took a little time out to think of the folks who are suffering in these conditions, and so far it has achieved nothing.
  9. Unfortunately you're on a forum full of snow lovers I'm glad you're out helping the people who are struggling with this weather, and not sat on a weather forum because that would be ironic
  10. I'm glad we had decent snow on Friday because tonight would have been a massive disappointment otherwise. I have about 1-2cm of slushy mess in garden from tonight, but it could have been an epic event if it was colder. Hope we have another decent snow event in February
