  1. Very nice sunny day today. A cold one this evening though!
  2. Excellent as that would mean I will only be 0.1C out with my guess. Earlier in the month, it was looking like I could be amiss by as much as 2C!
  3. It's getting like it is in winter for snow seekers, with the season just gone a perfect example. It was supposed to turn colder late December, then it was early January, mid January, late January, early February, mid February, late February and before we knew it, it was March! However, at least it's only April with peak summer a good few months away. I'm sure we will have some hot weather next season, but will it be of the heat spike variety among cooler/unsettled spells or will we get more prolonged pleasant weather without getting ridiculously hot and humid?! 2018 was great in that it was consistently warm/hot with only modest levels of humidity until late July.
  4. August 2008 was the worst I can remember and was particularly bad in the west country. Had a two week holiday in Cornwall and it was a complete washout with only one genuine decent day!
  5. raz.org.rain You contradicted yourself in your previous post then!
  6. B87 I'm dreading a two week period without any rain as we will have to start thinking about a drought situation with potential hose pipe bands and stand pipes etc! Meanwhile, a very misty and murky evening here. Beware of the bogey man everyone!
  7. This will not be our default pattern moving forward. We will have a dry period again with droughts!
  8. Early April 6th 2008 saw a few inches of snow in the south and although it had almost all gone by mid afternoon, temperatures didn't exceed 2C in places. Now, that is exceptional!
  9. Me neither?! Just has well it didn't cool down that much in autumn and winter then! After a slightly wet start today, has been largely dry but rather overcast.
  10. Another fairly bright day with no jacket required, even though it was rather chilly in the shade.
  11. *Stormforce~beka* well, move further norf then where there’s no orrible cold wind!
  12. *Stormforce~beka* blimey, I would have sweated buckets if I had gone out in a winter coat and scarf today! In fact, I would have probably fainted! I should think so!
  13. Yes and what is concerning is that we had an April only 3 years ago that was almost 1.5C below the 1961-90 average! Has the climate changed that much in such a short space of time?!
