  1. Afternoon All, a bright sunny morning, with a brisk easterly, with the overnight low of 2.4°C at: 06:45 having risen to 10.0°C , with the RH71% suggesting some drying out after the rain, in readiness for the next load. From Above On Golden sands the hazy cloud shown on the radar clearly visible
  2. *Stormforce~beka* Anything you can break, like plant pots (not plastic) , plates, cups, bricks, you name it, I suspect you might have a better chance if you put it in a pot, given that we are due to see more rain over the next 5 days or so. A friendly garden centre might have some broken pots, you only need a little if you put it in a pot to try and bring it on.
  3. Do a quick test, select a twig of lavender bend it, if it breaks then could well be dead, but if it bends and doesn't snap there's a fair chance it's slow in getting its act together. Lavender is quite hardy temperature wise, so I'd not really think the cold has killed , more like the excess of rain. JTAY has given you the good info.
  4. Morning All, bit of a change this morning as the cloud movement is from the east. After a misty night the overnight low of 3.0°C at: 06:45 has climbed to 9.4°C, RH82% and a light freshening breeze from the east with patchy cloud coming in off the channel. From Above On Golden sands
  5. Morning All, a crackin' morning, decent frost and clear blue sky, which now has convective Cu forming. The overnight low of -0.9°C at: 06:43, has risen to 10.9°C, The temperature and sunshine graph show the strength of the sun with a parallel marked increase in temperature below: From Above On Golden sands
  6. Good job your pub visit is Thursday as the suggestion is this is lining up for Friday Oh and Saturday Lets not forget Sunday Tiz over a week away but look, not a drop of rain!
  7. Morning All, anybody notice that Spring still wants to follow the wet winter, with today's rainfall that is 4 out 5 days with measurable rain? Daily rain totals 11.3 mm on day 1 11.8 mm on day 2 09.9 mm on day 4 With today adding to this. Yesterdays Met Office video did suggest this happening, as shown here, whilst commented it might be heavy showers, they did highlight it, getting the position of it possibly too far south: However, the same was stated on todays video, which almost suggests they didn't review the updated scenario, as they still stating "heavy showers", this is continual rain, not showers, so got to give them a black mark for not updating their forecast for today. This radar shot doesn't suggest showers, that plain old rainfall: Moving on, the overnight low of 3.7°C at: 01:00 has managed to haul itself up to 5.8°C, RH97% and a light breeze from the N. From Above, the coastal rainfall showing nicely. On Golden sands, wet suit weather..
  8. Aha, figured out, there's a hole in the cable and when it rains we get the infamous triangle of a rain area.
  9. Considering its taken most of the daylight hours to reach us, it seems to be getting a scoot on now, well the first band that is, then we await the second band in a short while. Computed view below
  10. Morning All, back to the usual overcast sky in readiness for the rain later. The overnight low of 1.0°C at: 05:20 has risen to 8.9°C, RH78% and a freshening breeze in from the S. From Above the inbound front sets the scene On Golden sands
  11. Morning All, one outta three ain't bad, I'll take it, with a clear wall to wall blue and frost covering and no breeze...very nice. The overnight low of -1.9°C at: 06:48 has risen to 9.9°C, RH71% and light air movement from the S - SW. From Above On Golden sands, busy, busy, busy
  12. Morning All, so Spring has a 100% wet start, a good way to follow a wet winter! The overnight low of 0.5°C at: 06:04 has risen to 5.8°C, RH87% with a light breeze in from the SW. From Above, the radar confirms the partially cloudy start this morning along the coast. On Golden sands nice patches of blue sky
  13. Beka when they are this large and bigger you probably don't want hail. Having sat inside a brand new jeep that was pounded by large hail, it ended up with every panel beaten in, + a very mutilated windscreen. Great fun though! As to the car the rental guy commented "Got caught in the hail didya?". I suspect it was sold off quickly.
