  1. You've got to love the British weather, coz if you don't I can imagine it would get you down.. Last weekend sun, heat and beaches rammed with folks enjoying the sun.. This weekend rain. mist and a few folks braving it with jackets on..
  2. If you've not got it bookmarked already and I think most people have, a useful link for summer Spanish & French plume migration watching.. Meteociel - Radar zoom carte dynamique WWW.METEOCIEL.FR Meteociel propose le radar français de Méteo-France sous forme de cartes avec zoom dynamique.
  3. Morning All, overcast after early morning showers, adding 2.6mm to the rainfall total. Currently 13.0°C and RH97%.
  4. Well it seems that I have sorted out my pluvometer, having taken it down and tipped out the water in the bowl, remove the debris filter, I found a beetle the size of the hole in cone, blocking the exit to the tipping spoon. I wonder how long that's been there, kinda explains why when it rained lightly it would work, but not in heavy rain!
  5. Same here, everything is pretty wet after yesterday, but the plants needed it. Today has peaked at 13.4°C at: 15:15 And the hardy beach goers give it their all..
  6. Morning All, overcast start to the day as things dry out from yesterday in readiness for some more rain over the weekend, currently 12.0°C I'm trying to work out if these are stragglers from the footie last night or keen beach-goers
  7. 30.8mm here and brightening now as the rain becomes much lighter, and a balmy 12.9°C
  8. Nice droppa rain... Now I have to get out and figure why my tipping sensor isn't working, having not had any rain, I didn't know (obviously)..fortunately my other davis system has kept a check on things so I'll have to update my log later...although it does look as though this be around for a while
  9. Great beach weather this morning, pick your own piece of the real estate... Nice heavy band of rain over us at the moment, dogs looked and went "Nah, not going out in that.."
  10. Morning All a damp start with rain approaching from the east, currently 12.0°C at: 06:37 and 1.8mm of rain so far this morning..expecting that to be topped up through the day..
  11. Morning All, overcast and dry With last night now history but in line with the forecasts, so what will today bring...well the radar shows a nice area of precip down in the channel heading northwards.. At least a possibility of some rain.. Overnight low 12.7°C at: 05:38 currently 13.2°C and RH88%
  12. I think you've pushed it our way Knocker as we begin with sea mist/fog and overcast conditions.. Overnight low of 9.3°C at: 05:41 has now reached 13.3°C currently with RH93%... An early morning shot showing the approaching trough from the west and the Spanish plume development...collision placing all to play for..
  13. Hedge your bets here.. Weather forecast for the UK - BBC Weather WWW.BBC.CO.UK Weather forecast for the UK Dan, keep your faith 9at least according to this forecast)
  14. Yes I saw that on the BBC news, question is what's the plan to get it home again I wonder as the bird is becoming rarer by the year, and is clearly lost, considering Spain and Northern France is it's home? Staying in the Uk is clearly not an option (for mating anyway)!
  15. Real Time Lightning Map :: LightningMaps.org WWW.LIGHTNINGMAPS.ORG See lightning strikes in real time across the planet. Free access to maps of former thunderstorms. By Blitzortung.org and contributors. At the ready then, if only it were a decent plume, but with your eye in the sky at least you'll see further than most should anything head over the channel before it fizzles out..can we use you as an early warning device?
  16. Make sure you have enough food for 4 days, coz I'm not convinced tomorrow night holds anything of value storm wise here, unless you are prepared to chase it as it goes up country..
