  1. Morning All a mild night with the low of 8.6°C at: 06:19, which has risen to 8.7°C, RH88% under mainly cloudy skies, with a light breeze in from the W - SW. Locally it’s 2°C with pea soup fog, which hopefully we will manage to get above as we hit the peak today at over 3000m.
  2. Andy Bown it is the GuggUp gnome, and he sits there staring at the mountain of the same name through carnival season, which is now.
  3. Morning All, a cloudy start to the day after and overnight (up to now) low of 10.2°C at: 00:56 has leapt up to 10.3°C, RH94% and light air movement from the WSW.
  4. Morning All, a cloudy start to the day after and overnight (up to now) low of 9.5°C at: 05:15, has leapt up to 9.6°C, RH97% and light air movement from the SW.
  5. Yes it is, damn nuisance. The overnight low of 2.3°C at: 01:26 has spent the last 7hrs slowly creeping up to 9.0°C, RH97%, and light air movement from the W, with Broken clouds at a height of 600 ft.
  6. My birthday, so I suspect I shall miss most events that day... Should be warm enough on July 14th, though.
  7. jtay We'll have to wait until July 14th for that. National Nude Day in USA in 2024 | There is a Day for that! WWW.THEREISADAYFORTHAT.COM Read about National Nude Day in USA in 2024. You'll need some bare-faced cheek to celebrate this day.
  8. Morning All, warm pleasant sunshine after the dreary few days, after the overnight low of 3.8°C at: 08:22, currently 8.4°C, RH83% and light air movement from the N - NE. From Above On Golden sands How long will it last is the question?
  9. A reccy - Definitions of reccy. reconnaissance (by shortening) synonyms: recce, recco. type of: reconnaissance, reconnaissance mission. the act of reconnoitring (especially to gain information).
  10. Morning All, the gloomy conditions continue unabated, even the golden sands are depleted of brave folk today Meanwhile, the overnight low of 5.4°C at: 02:43 has skipped merrily up to 8.6°C, RH81% and a light breeze (seemingly increasing in strength) from the SW. From Above, thank goodness for the map overlay otherwise finding the UK mainland under these conditions is a challenge. Local forecasted conditions suggest Broken clouds at a height of 600 ft for later this afternoon, dropping from the current Broken clouds at a height of 3100 ft.
  11. Amazing after nearly two years, I've found somebody that has determined the issues I have with my foot. Had two casts taken so orthotic inserts for my shoes can be produced, then maybe I'll be able to walk better. Looking at all the inserts I'd bought, plus various other bits, the fine gent said "You may as well take that lot home with you!" (Hmmm, having spent good English pounds on that bag of rubbish). But at long last there's hope. Meanwhile the dreary conditions continue with patchy drizzle, I just feel like getting out of the Uk for something different, even if its rain. A maximum of 9.3°C at: 01:54, currently 7.8°C. So near yet so far...
  12. Morning All, an overcast yet bright start to the day, after an overnight low of 6.9°C at: 08:10, currently 7.8°C, RH83% with a light breeze in from the W - SW. From Above, cloud is further west than suggested it might be by the MetO yesterday forecast, so looks to be a while before some warming sunshine On Golden sands, some patches of blue around
  13. A quick visit to the MOD thread, oh boy, I've come out dizzy! One interpretation says "Yup cold air", another says "Cold easterly air", another goes "Not even cold enough for snow in Scotland". Meanwhile people hang on to the 10day chart like they REALLY believe them, come on now, so rarely have 10day charts manged to count down to day 1 with the same synopsis.
  14. @Rich_Clements @*Stormforce~beka* On 28/01/2024 at 16:08, *Stormforce~beka* said: yea I know sigh. I'm usually bright at stuff like that but I was rushing to get to bed as it was 1am and I had been working on opening the shop since 5pm. I was just hurrying and then trying to get to bed so didn't think properly. My bad. They are really clever now, so sorry to have heard this. Yes, sorry to hear you were "hit", they really are getting smart these days, and easy to get caught off-guard, even if its not 1am in the morning.
  15. Morning All, a foggy start to the day, after an overnight low of 8.9°C at: 09:41, currently 9.2°C, RH97% with light air movement from the S-SSE. From Above On Golden sands, most of the world is missing today!
