Gone much quieter here now, hopefully the worst has passed

BBC televised forecasts are still showing as a severe storm from Cornwall right through to Lincolnshire. Do they know something we don't? Or are they using data from a few hours ago?

Hope what you are all saying is correct - all my facebook friends here in South Wales are panicking after seeing the BBC news and I'm putting them right about the fact that its not going to happen!

Wind has dropped significantly here in the last 1/2 hr. Rain is now light after some torrential downpours around an hour ago....is that it? Im in Pencoed, South Wales - my avatar used to show my location. Sorry.
