get them all the time down here,
i've noticed military activity has increased though
We don’t get the Chinooks too often, but two flying side by side came over a few weeks ago in the middle of the night. Now that was loud!! Sometimes we get the fighter jets from Anglesey if they’re on training flights. I’ve noticed a lot more military activity too especially looking at Flightradar24 around the country.

I’ll start again! My phone appears to be throwing a wobbler! Lol
Good afternoon @SarahWxm
Yes, something is closing in on us now.
Hi @Dangerous55019 Yes there seemed to be storms developing all around us but now easing off. Nothing really over head. Seen some good forks and booms of thunder. Not as good as yesterdays storm with the continuous thunder for an hour non stop lol.
Oooooo Just had a massive flash then and BOOM! Made me jump haha

Another storm is heading your way, but not as intense ATM.
Still thundering and lightning from this storm but seems to be slowly moving away. That was a cracker!

Omg this storm over Wrexham is one of the most strangest but amazing that I’ve ever seen. Huge flashes of lightning very high up in the clouds and the thunder has rumbled constantly with no breaks for the last 25 minutes. Rain is horrendous as were the initial winds as the storm approached. If this was night time it would be constant flashing. My road is also flooded again! Lol

Had a cracking thunderstorm earlier in the end. Some proper good lightning and loud rumbles of thunder for a good hour. The rain was horrific though and has flooded everywhere. A car is literally floating under a railway bridge at the end of my road. A Father’s Day meal at Wrexham football club had to be evacuated as the rain came through the roof and the roof collapsed in the upstairs restaurant. My road is also flooded. The rain didn’t half come down. Couple of videos as the storm was approaching from the south.

Just been sitting out in the garden listening to the distant rumbles towards Chester way. Had to come back inside as large plops of rain started. Stopped as soon as I came back in lol

Seems to be a good lot of lightning flashes between here and Chester on the radar but not seeing or hearing anything for the last 10 mins. .

Does anybody know if the storm over Wrexham is electrically active? Don't know if its worth trying to photograph some distant lightning shots....
Im in Wrexham and yes it’s electrically active but lightning not that frequent. Had some good forks and rumbles so far.

That’s awesome! Those two Chinooks flying side by side were about 2500 feet and were so loud they shook the house. It was such a strange time to come over, about 1am, especially making that racket!! Thankfully I was still awake and my little lad didn’t wake up lol
