    Here in North-West London after almost 4 hours of wet snow and sleet it has finally turned back into snow, fairly moderate falls now and some large flakes mixed in. Hopefully it stays as snow but i think it will turn sleety again soon.

    Just started to snow here in North-West London. It is quite light at the moment, but not settling as the ground is too wet. If anything the snow is rather wet....not expecting anything to settle today so at least i have seen some snow...this cold spell has been a big let down...oh well maybe next year..

    Yeah it should turn to snow like it did in London as it was rain for me and then within 5mins turned into a blizzard...

    Well i thought it had stopped snowing as the snow got lighter and lighter but it has picked up again and has got heavy but not as heavy as it was when it first started. But at least it is still snowing in North West London.

    Does anyone know if the main band of snow has passed North London Now or is there more on the way. As it is only light snow now. I have had 2inches fall so i cannot complain..

    Well still snowing here in North West London but not as heavy as before, more moderate snow now. Does anyone know if there is anymore heavy snow on its way for North West London, as i think the main band of heavy snow has moved away.

    Does anyone from Hertfordshire know how long this snow band lasted for? as here in North West London it has been blizzard like for 30mins, about 5cm has fallen..

    An absolute blizzard at the mo must be about 3cm fallen already. Why oh why don't the council grit the roads as near me in Wembley the main roads have not been gritted and they are fall off snow. It is a repeat of last year in London...

    OMG everything is covered in only 5mins. All the cars and my road are covered with snow and i cannot see out of my window far as the snow is soo heavy

    OMG where on earth did this snow come from, it is now a blizzard you cannot see anything and the wind is really strong so the snow is getting blown all over the place. If this lasts for 2 hours i won't get out of my fron dorr..

    Well it has really started to pick up now, all of a sudden the snow went from fine grains to medium sized flakes. Yipppeee

    Just started to snow in Wembley (North West London) this time it is snow not sleet, it is still fine snow but bigger than before. Still very very dark outside, just heard from a friend in hertfordshire and it is a blizzard there a complete white out. So it is on its way to us!!

    Well no more snow has fallen, only seems to be sleet in the wind. However it still looks even darker when i look north towards Hertfordshire as that is where the snow is coming from. The met office radar shows heavy percipitation near hertfordshire and the main band seems not to have moved far in the last hour. So maybe alot of snow for London : he hopes.

    Well i said it started snowing, and now it has stopped. If anything slightly sleety stuff is falling but it is so fine i can only see it when it has landed on my window. Still very dark and the wind has picked up so maybe some proper snow. Does anyone know how long the snow band has lasted for in your area? eg, has it been snowing for 1 hour or less.

    This is my first post. Just started snowing here in Wembley (North West London). It has been cloudy for most of the day, and what snow we had lying on the ground has gone since mid morning. It has got really dark in the past 10mins, so hopefully heavy snow on the way!!
