    Been snowing most of the day here, around an inch or two covering the grass and pavements.We've had snow every Wednesday for 3 weeks in a row!

    Here's a couple of pics taken 10 mins ago here in Swindon.Becoming quite misty now and the snow has stopped. Back garden. View up the street. View down the street.

    Getting ready to go to work in Swindon and we've had a fair amount of snow overnight.Just been told we are starting an hour later now even though i got up an hour earlier Looks like a thaw will begin as the temps rise today,with rain by the weekend.

    Steady snow now here in Swindon, covering roads and cars.Looks like the advancing front has stalled so we could get a good covering by morning.

    :blink: Well i thought i'd chip in having been reading posts on here for the last hour.Obviously nothing as yet in Swindon but it's not too far away, the wind is picking up as the front approaches and it also feels very cold even though the temp is just above freezing.Can anyone hazard a guess if Swindon will have a decent snowfall?

    Nothing here in Swindon, the snow precip in the east is slipping south and west. I which direction is the forecasted snow in the south coming from? Time to crack open some red wine soon me thinks! :lol:

    Took my wife and daughter to work this morning around Swindon Wiltshire at 0815 and temp was around -10C, this was confirmed on the local radio.Parts of Oxfordshire recorded -17c

    Snowing here in Swindon, the radar shows the precip arcing across this area.

    Mostly heavy blobs of rain, with the odd big bit of sleet.Oh well.

    I think that as reported by others, as the front moves through it will gradually turn to snow.It probably falls as snow but melts on the way down.Behind the front it's colder so the snow makes it down.

    Glad to report that Swindon has broken it's shield........WE HAD A STORM!! Some very very squally heavy rain and a fair few flashes and bangs! About bloody time!

    Some heavy storm in a line SW/NE approaching, it may hit Swindon.I can hear loads of deep rumbling to my NW.

    More rumbles from the west of Swindon.Looks like some pretty heffty showers moving East.

    There is a storm moving NE just crossing the northern area just north of Swindon.I can hear the odd rubble and will possibly clip Oxford.Anyone in that area? Wind has now picked up and is starting to rain.

    Ah add Red Admiral to the list today! Still hoping to see the Hummingbird Hawk Moth this year.
