Lol .... nope, its utter pants. Wet clear roads, not even a bit of snow or slush on the pavements or roofs. I'm bordering on suicidal haha

Absolutely gutted that so area's so close like kimberworth and wath have it, and alls I have is rain. Is this my lot then?

Why is it only rain/sleet in Dalton Rotherham? Just horrible wet stuff and nothings settling? is it likely to turn to snow?

Just watched a taxi try and get up our hill. Wheels spinning like mad,engine sounding like it was about to blow up lol, but going knowhere. After sliding sideways and ending at an angle on the kerb, he gave it up and slid/reversed backwards down the road. I guess I won't be moving the car anytime soon lol.

Big fast flakes her now in Dalton, Rotherham and its really coming down. My street and car are white over. Don't understand the charts or anything, I just soak up what you guys post. So is this snow set in for the night, or is this moment of excitement flash in the pan. Excited muchly )))))) x

I'm sat in my house in Rotherham watching the snow which has been falling and settling for 3 hours. I'm not really up on charts etc, I just love weather, but I'm confused as to why Jon Mitchell on calendar weather has just said theres no snow tonight, when its been snowing here for 3 hours. Very confused. Anybody?

Just started snowing very lightly in Rotherham

I hold my hands up to being nesh lol, but I am currently sat in bed with an extra blancket, a fleece dressing gown and the heating on .... God help me when winter really digs in, I think I will need a mortgage to cover the fuel bill haha.

I'm in Rotherham as well, and have been stuck in all week as the snow was so bad on my street, the car wouldn't move an inch. However, I have got up this morning, and although the road is still covered, it is now slushy. All the snow that was covering the roof of the car has gone, and the kids toys in the garden are clear. Last night, you couldn't even see the slide, it was just a white shape! Now its just a slide again. I don't understand the sciene part to all this, I just know that the snow is disappearing slowly.

Been snowing heavily in Rotherham for at least an hour now. Got a good couple of inch, and it shows no signs of easing. Loving it
