  1. Its very blustery today but after the early rain which was short and brief, its turned into a nice sunny day, not been this sunny in a long while!
  2. Not a bad morning so far, with a nice bit of sun coming in through the (home) office window. I wonder if we can actually manage a dry day...
  3. Alderc 2.0 Exactly Being on GMT would be a complete and utter waste of daylight hours through 3/4 of the year. And with people being told to reduce energy waste, having to use more electricity with the earlier darkness, it would be counter productive. Double BST gets my vote too.
  4. Summer8906 yeah getting light before 6.30am is a complete waste of daylight, far more useful having lighter evenings when most people are out and about and have things to do. Much better for the tourism and leisure sector too i would have thought...
  5. Tidy little bit of hail as the latest trough passes over. It might be yet another wet day but at least its squally heavy showers with some dry, even sunny, breaks in between so a bit more interesting to the usual mono cloud and drizzle/rain
  6. Arctic Hare tell me about it - got a load of washing done on the basis of what BBC had to say - now looking at the radar Im going to be forced into using the tumble drier
  7. As we are adding a date too now - make that prediction as 14th July
  8. BlueSkies_do_I_see Put me down for a 36.2C but would not be surprised if we get higher. Feels like we only need a short burst of heat to break records these days rather than weeks of dry sunny weather...
  9. Summer8906 I can remember plenty of warm springs in the past and that hasnt led to a 'spartan summer' in terms of flowers, I think you worry too much. The sooner we can get some sun and warmth the better now, after this awful let down of a winter.
  10. Methuselah It would reduce leccy use a bit. And it wouldn't surprise me that some quarters have resisted making some changes...
  11. ChillyJuju It doesnt really though does it. The clocks dont go back just after the autumn equinox but rather at the end of October. If we have to keep messing about and using GMT, then the clocks should go forward at the end of Feb which would be a better use of daylight.
  12. *Stormforce~beka* have a great big virtual hug Feels at the moment no matter the wind direction, its just grey rubbish over us - i think a straight northerly is my only hope now for some prolonged sunshine...
  13. cheeky_monkey you are very lucky - why we have to wait until the end of march to move forward I have no idea. Very much looking forward to getting the light back after work and be able to do things outdoors...
