You can clearly see an empty circle over SW Cornwall on the latest rainfall radar - that's where the Low centre is roughly...there are winds gusting 90mph over NW France - Channel Islands getting a battering too

Currently flying across the mid/northern atlantic on Flight Simulator with Real Time weather installed where the storm is building currently and the headwinds going to the usa are currently 170 knots (195.6mph) at 35000ft!! - Its quite bumpy and im glad it's not real life!
The wind kept increasing the further west i move up to 200mph and my Boeing 777 couldn't cope with the headwind so i've had to turn back! lol

The way the models have chopped and changed during the course of this past week, I think its just a case now of now casting Thursday night/Friday morning.
At last, someone else with some sense
60 pages worth or more of people getting annoyed, being negative etc etc and people are finally coming to terms that now casting might be best! lol -
Warnings back for just the south coast now for wind tomorrow.

Metoffice warnings for wind have now dissapeared for Thursday and Friday - only a threat of ice tonight!

Just wait til Thursday arrrgghh!!!! I love all this weather but i actually find it more frustrating with all the comments on here than the weather itself! - can't believe people put themselves through so much stress, just use common sense and wait until the day/day before! it's not rocket science! - Rant over!

Im no pro but my instinct tells me the south coast will get battered this Thursday/Friday. Pure guesswork no models/charts or anything looked at (as i tbh i don't really understand them too well). Will now wait and see what happens on Thursday

I find it quite amusing how people are so negative and getting annoyed all the time so early before each event throughout the year when the event is days away!! until the day, you can't predict or know anything for definite! - Just sit back, chill and stop getting worked up! wait til at least Thursday!
Anyway, some hefty showers passing through now and the temperature is actually dropping down to 6.6c now from 7.5c a hour ago.

Things still seem to be picking up here, I'm well in land and getting sustained 22.4mph gusting 33.1
Pressure still dropping 985.9mb falling 2.4mb\hr
Temp up to 11.8c and DP of 11.1 and rising 1.0c/hr
Rain so far today 16.8mm falling at 7.6mm/hr and more to come.
Only 33mph in Blandford? Its far worse than that here in Wimborne.

Its a way off yet but the latest Windguru forecast for next week here in Dorset says 80mph wind speeds and ive never seen windguru forecast wind speeds of that high before! - Windguru is very reliable but being 7 days away this is likely to change but worth noting.

FS is usually a few hours behind and tbh isnt that accurate, can be fun to do though. It relies on land based weather stations that can be spread widely apart.
This was with the latest Active Sky Evolution Addon and was just less than a hour behind. But yes was fun to do. Best stick to the more updated radars.

I just flew from Bilbao to Bournemouth unfortunately not in real life but on Flight Simulator over the bay of biscay with real world weather and it was pretty stormy, lots of thunderstorm activity and very turbulent! Not sure if it will reach us in Dorset though!

heavy snow here now in East Dorset! Where did this come from!!! I thought it was all over!
Its showing as rain on the NW Radar but i can confirm its falling as heavy snow!!

A Whopping 2cm here in East Dorset! - Barely anything yet again! About 1-2cm less than last weeks! Quite poor! - Ah well i think we've learnt this winter that Dorset is simply not the place to go if you if you want a lot of snow!
Global warming is having a big impact on the county of Dorset!! :unsure:

Winds really picking up now here in East Dorset with some quite violent gusts, but blue skies aswell, the perfect combination. The MetO had it correct for us with forecasting the strongest winds to be around midday today.
