  1. Nothing falling here at the moment despite being under the band shown on the radar.
  2. A few screen grabs from the bbc for the Thames streamer overnight. Following the same path as shown on euro4 12z
  3. A little further north than their online version, I’m hoping it’s somewhere between the two
  4. Beat me to it, you can clearly see the energy moving into this streamer now. Looks like the meto prediction has hit the nail on the head.
  5. Looks like we have one forming right now, looking promising for those further west in the region.
  6. Slowly getting there, hopefully more develops upstream this afternoon
  7. Am actually nearer to Bramley than Guildford just put that in for snow reports (easier to visualise on a map). I think our best hope here for anything significant is a Thames streamer which won’t show up on the apps until the last minute.
  8. Copied from the mod thread, seems to be a trend in the latest outputs.
  9. Latest BBC forecast has just confirmed the potential for everything to be a little further north and west.
  10. No problem, we just won’t let any Atlantic lows into the EU in return, unless of course they’re willing to pay a rainfall tariff and import duties
  11. Anyone else thought of the potential disruption? During our last wet snow event on Sunday there was big problems with grit not being as effective due to the lower traffic on the roads. Imagine the same scenario but with powder snow continually accumulating and sub zero daytime temps.
  12. I would imagine that the models aren’t taking into account snowcover which would help bring the temperature down a degree or two, and of course evaporative cooling in any of the beefier showers that make it inland. Another point that is well worth considering and we have seen this in easterlies in the past, is that the models tend to struggle with this kind of setup and default with bringing the Atlantic through, I fully expect that they have got this wrong for the time being and will keep getting pushed back into FI with potential upgrades in the short term to the severity of the cold and features which will appear at short notice.
  13. Finally reached here, dusting so far and don’t expect much more. Either way it’s a good result, snow in the south doesn’t come easy.
  14. Looks like everything is intensifying just north of here, not even a dusting here yet. It happens, pleased for those who hit the jackpot tonight.
  15. Sounds promising for areas further north , back to to lamppost watch here! Wish you all the best, dont go using Steve’s kentimenters, you might have to fulfill you deal
  16. I think this could be our chance , if not always next time, they say thunder doesn’t strike twice let’s hope the same is true of the dreaded dry slot
  17. Looking at the radar, you can see why the MO are predicting snow to move through area. Well worth keeping an eye on.
