Those 5 years have not been good for sure and you also missed out on the epic 2009/10 winter. You will have to take a trip to New Zeeland for your snow fix.

It is the bloody wind! I had no melt here today but i still only have yesterday's cover. All the new snow that fell has been blown away by the gusts.

The streamer is already south of the Met Office amber warning zone.

The one north of the Netherlands? Yes, it is moving west/northwest and may interest the northern half of the region tonight. Some showers also forming in Lincolnshire but more scattered.

Snowing quite heavily now. This is the final part of the streamer for Manchester. I hope it doesn't move through too quickly.

I can see an increase of cumulus clouds to the east so that's a good sigh.

It looks good on the radar but I can't see the clouds yet from my place.

Completely stopped here and the sky looks less promising. The difference with yesterday is that today there are no developing cumulus clouds.

I notice every time the wind picks up the snw is losing intensity and the sun tries to come out.
