  1. Why is it so important to have snow on Xmas day? I'd be happy with cold and snow any day of the year!

      Ideally I'd like a relatively mild run-up to Xmas and then a snowy spell starting on the day itself- I suppose, though, that while it would mean minimal pre-Xmas disruption it would result in some people being stuck for longer with unwanted relatives afterwards!

      I am going to a friend's house on Xmas day. They only live 10 mins walk from us. Two years ago their Xmas party coincided with the big freeze and there were nearly 20cm of snow on the ground! Happy memories!

      Just adds to it all, warm log fire with stocking hanging on the harth, snowing outside and such. Just what most people picture an ideal crimbo.
