That’s where I walk along all the time! Wonder who is controlling the camera - it’s a closed off area at night so only thing I can think of it’s some kind of security camera as there was a van along there just now, like they were looking for someone. Shame it’s panning all over the place as it ended up being a decent storm in the end -

Several shotgun thunder claps here too, rain has now eased off but lightning still flashing away. Looks like some more might be popping up to the SW too -
Not so much any more even here sadly. Used to be almost a guarantee of a French import several times a summer and these days it just seems to sail up the channel closer to France. Just had some rain for a bit which hasn’t helped the humidity one little bit and have heard several very distant rumbles from what’s crossing the channel now (also to go to the east of even me here in SE Kent I would say)

22.8 c with a few point of 21.1c and not a single storm on the horizon -
I am very much hoping the hot weather doesn’t come off over next couple of weeks. I have two close family funerals a week apart, first one next Tuesday, and could do without the added stress of being over hot. Today was about as warm as I’d like it, got up to 22c and that was plenty.

There were a few rumbles from that in Folkestone yesterday afternoon. Very heavy rain too for a short burst. We missed it as had to go to Canterbury (my nan-in-law is gravely ill unfortunately) but my son was home and told me about the thunder. -

Estofex don’t place us in any real risk today, but at least there’s some. I’ll take that seeing as I’m still on one proper storm so far this summer European Storm Forecast Experiment - ESTOFEX WWW.ESTOFEX.ORG Edit: some parts are going to get it though! -

Video shows wildfires lashing over edge of highway in Sicily WWW.NBCWASHINGTON.COM Fires are raging across the Italian island of Sicily, prompting evacuations and threatening drivers. Sicily seems to be having lots of issues with fires also during the intense heat they are suffering -

Funny old day for showers again. Left Folkestone around lunch and it was a bit drizzly, drove over to Canterbury and on the way it poured - the kind where you have to drive 20mph if that as you can’t see - but got to the A2 near Canterbury and it was bone dry! Saw a few images of funnel clouds off the coast of Kent too, one near Gravesend and another off Dungeness I think. Will try and find them to share. Edit: see they’re all on the storm thread, that waterspout off Dungeness was amazing!

I got 22.1c yesterday and the closest station I can find to you said 22c. But it did feel very warm, was plenty warm enough!

Just thought I’d pop in here given the woe about lack of heat in the main model thread. Seeing what’s happening on the continent, I can’t understand the desire for heat? If it comes, it’ll be brutal all the time mainland is seeing the temperatures that are occurring g at the moment. Last years 40c weather was brutal, I do not want a repeat of that any time soon! More than happy with 20c and sunny spells.
