A quick question for any LaCrosse 2300 (or similar) owners - what sort of battery life are you getting from the wireless unit?
The manual is a bit patchy on battery life, it says some strange stuff about a minimum of 6 months but it's not clear on the circumstances or if it's talking about the base unit or the sensors.
I started with a couple of re-chargeable NiMH batteries which always lasted 48 hours and no more.
In frustration I put in a couple of Alkaline Duracells which were only about 3/4 charged and they've lasted over two weeks so far in the recent arctic air and down to -7C at one point!
Does anyone have any longer term experience they could share?
