  1. Facebook reminded me that a mid feb last year we were sat on Lyme Regis beach with temps in low/mid teens eating ice cream, I’ll give this weekend a miss I think.
  2. It looks like the temps held up which is great news for growers. I don't think there has been a frost here since march.
  3. Hi from my untrained eye we look like we may avoid a frost this weekend. Can anyone confirm if they agree as its important for me from my allotment point of view?
  4. im supposed to be travling to swindon but have heared that old sodbury has been closed, think ill leave it a bit and see if it improves
  5. my only worry for the west is with all that rain we have has the saturated ground will just freeze and any major thaw could lead to more flooding down the line?
  6. almost makes up for all that rain the ecm was looking like a channel low for monday last night so if the gfs is onboard too then it sounds promising?
  7. my only disappointment is the timing could be better (i know its nature and will snow when it likes). many folks will set off to work tomorrow when it wont be too bad and still commutable, i for example need to travel to swindon, it would be nice if it struck a little earlier if its going to be bad as getting home along the m4 could be a nightmare.
  8. bbc news show snow band stalling allong a line fron n ireland to west country, not pushing so far east now, foe our part of the world it looks like Gloucestershire wiltshire/s glous and east Somerset will be worst hit.
  9. trying to be positive, most of the rain for the south west is now forcast for saturday night with sunday v light showers then dry until tuesday so there is some hope
  10. Did anyone see the bbc weather presented by prince Charles? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-18022243 its totally surreal. I thought he did a pretty good job though and if decides to turn down the chance of being king.... Who knows
  11. Glass half empty my gut says that we will be left disappointed with rain. Glass half full can anyone say how much snow this would bring if the block holds up?
