  1. PLayed in the line for a bit and did have a funnel in the early stages but there's no way of keeping up with it now it's bowing. Dropping south for the two cells near Childress
  2. On the top end of the line and she tried really hard to put one down Heading out the way a bit to get a view
  3. Heading south to get in front of this line, top and middle portions tornado warned now
  4. Heading west from Woodward to get a closer look at the dryline cells that have fired in the Texas panhandle
  5. On the road from our "special" stay in Perry, OK Heading west, probably towards Woodward and then south. Will keep a check on data while on the move.
  6. Still playing with these southern cells on OK. Gutted about the Salina tornado We stayed in a hotel just north of there last night! Always the way..
  7. Have ditched those cells and gone after the one that's popped out out ahead of the retreating dryline really bad inet around here
  8. Damn caught in a traffic jam, tornado on the ground too grrrrrrrrrrr
  9. Not too many chasers down here Got the bandwidth all to ourselves at the moment There was quite a few posts on facebook last night about streaming issues, seems the cell towers getting overloaded are not helping.
  10. Just finished lunch in Greensburg and now heading south to have a look at the cell that's gone up in the OK panhandle
  11. We're on the road and with tomorrows risk in mind and changeover day on Thursday, we're heading to Greensburg for lunch. Retreating low pressure should enhance moisture and back winds down this area and already there's a nice clearing down there. No doubt it'll change by the time we get there!
  12. 3 stitches today from me, One in the early stage, one just before it put down the wedge and one near the end of it's life
  13. All done for the day, was on the big HP monster in NC Kansas. Saw the brief second tornado report on it NE of Smith Center and it actually put on some decent structure for us Reports thread to follow.
  14. Fairly certain we've got our first tornado of the day, just east of smith centre Got video and pics! Just waiting for this thing to cross in front of us now as there's potential for a large tornado buried in the rain
  15. Yep she's starting to look a lot better than it did, the southern one is only about 30 miles away now so in easy reach
  16. Just seen the cell that's popped up by Russell, going to give this another 15-20 minutes though
  17. Sat looking at the cell near the border just south of Franklin, NE Seems a bit linear at the mo but hopefully will organise
  18. Yup Heading west now from Belleville KS to get NE of that low pressure in western KS
  19. On the road now, heading towards Hebron for lunch. Had a quick scan of the models this morning and liking the area NE of Salina, maybe a bit further south. We'll see how things evolve on our drive to lunch. Ingredients are there for quite an active day; I just hope the locals stay tuned to the TV/Radio!
  20. What a day! Started out from Wall, SD and had a target area somewhere around central Nebraska. After checking data on the move we could see the moisture surging up near to Thedford with backing surface winds. A lot of waiting was needed today and finally at around 7:30 pm the first tops broke the cap near to Broken Bow. Headed straight south east and punched the core across the top. Some big hailstones were taken, really hard ones too and we were greeted with a simply stunning LP supercell moving at a snails pace. Got a great view on top of a hill for about 20 minutes then jogged east where we got some amazing lightning shots with the skinny updraught The cell to our north west then became tornado warned so off we went. Ended up sat between the two cells with a great light show to finish the night. Made our way down to Kearney ready for what looks to be a great set up tomorrow for some tubes! Stich time! Handheld lightning shots
  21. All done, what an awesome day! Took a while to get going but we had a right show put on for us and finally some decent lightning. Highlight has to be the CG that landed probably 50ft from us in the field and made everyone run away like big girls! I felt the hairs on my legs tingle before the strike hit!
  22. Heading to the storm north west of us, confirmed tornado on it
  23. On our way SE now towards the cells that's gone up south of Broken Bow
