i knowits deep fantasy world but the gfs is saying possible white xmas for the north of the uk

Could be wrong Battleground but if memory serves me correctly there was considerable agreement from a long way out. What none of the models saw was the intense Polar low that buried Lincs (amongst other areas) into a snowy playground over a very short period of time. That was the year I lost some pretty old trees (and my central heating!) to temperatures of -19C. In all honesty we tend not to do so well from Northerlies up here for some reason, it's either NE or Easterlies that have historically produced, but I'm happy to be pleasantly surprised this year if it delivers!
well if f1 right we are in a snow fest on the east coast at the end of the runs on the gfs

when will the bbc weather stop siting on the fence reg next week looking at the gfs for wednesday the east coast could easily hit with snow at the moment
