  1. Almost all settling again now in otley (100m)! Temperature down to 0.2c, just a little more to go
  2. Well it seems to be happening, snow turning thicker and temperature plummeted from 0.8c down to 0.4c in last 30 mins.
  3. Hopefully colder air to the north can undercut this precipitation and turn it to all settling snow. Looking at radar it should start to get squeezed south soon, if it doesn't just disintigrate
  4. Beautiful but painful to see that I'm missing out on the beautiful pristine snow with maximum settling by just a couple hundred feet...
  5. Uppers and dewpoint expected to drop -1 in next few hours, could make all the difference in heavier bursts and bring snow line down another 30-40m.
  6. Different world, what a difference a little height and been caught in a heavier patch can make, you hit the jackpot!
  7. Here in otley 100m just about settling, about an inch so far. Drove through yeadon not long ago was absolute chaos, what I'd give for just extra 200ft in altitude. Temperatre 0.4c here meh.
  8. Temperature down to 1.1c and big blob should hit in an hour, think the fat lady isn't quite singing yet.
  9. Major battleground situation coming up 216h. And what is that? Even deeper cold flooding into scandinavia!
  10. ECM - 192h Not your standard Boom chart, but potential wise it's right up there! Very cold nights with charts like this
  11. Nice 6z ECM at 144h. Is keen on deep cold building to our north and east. And is attempting to advect it further south and west towards us. Probably not going to make it but who knows with these baby steps each run?? Promising start. Gfs Parallel also very good.
  12. Yeah snow all around us. I'm not giving up until the precipitation has all but left lol. I've seen crap events like this suddenly flip in our favour at the turn of a hat, not often but can happen just need this temperature to start going down the right way. To be fair the uppers on offer over the last week or 2 was never going to give us big pristine dumpings. Let those in the west enjoy there 1-2cm cos if that SSW digs in later this month and can deliver us brutal cold from E NE, we could beat there totals 20 times over
  13. hopefully they wrong again, when they said several centimetres possible last night I knew it was game over lol
  14. From bbc weather page: ''Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday Sunday will be cloudy for the northern half of the country with spells of rain. Cloud will push as far as Wales, but it will remain fine and dry in the south. Monday will be breezy and cloudy for most with spells of rain for many. Wet and windy in the south on Tuesday, drier and brighter in the north, but spells of snow in central parts of the UK.'' Not sure how seriously we should take anything from bbc, we wills see
  15. Rain here in otley even at 100m. Think we are well within the mild sector unfortunately. Thought the colder air to the north would have digged in by now and turned it all to snow. Temperature a very dissapointing 1.3c! Still think we can get a bit of an event out of this, temp should start dropping soon and it will turn, just a shame with missed out on hours of precipitation wasted!
  16. I think the angle of attack from the precipitation at NE england looks perfect. This could be a good event coming up
