Is there not a student support officer or something similar that you can go and see? Or have a word with your Tutor. I didn't go to uni but have worked in a College and know that they will do anything to help and keep you there.
It's tough being away from home but stick with it, I'm sure you are feeling the same as loads of people on your course.

Princess Tbags was 4 weeks early and I thought "ah, just the Braxton Hicks kicking in" keep the bags packed just in case. Tbags was perfectly ok for being early, just needed to have her blood sugar monitored for 24hours but is now a very healthy toddler
