    Terrible day here in Maldon - absolutely NO lying snow, a few small grains lunchtime was all we got. Met office said light snow from 12pm, heavy from 6pm through most of the night - just cannot see that we will get anything at all. Looks like I'll be helping a relative do some decorating tomorrow afterall!

    Nothing in Maldon either - Chelmsford and Colchester have both seen some, but it seems to have bypassed Maldon completely. Radar doesn't look too promising for the near future either :-(

    Just watched the BBC weather and Rob McElwee referred to a North Easterly and then an Easterly later in the week saying "and that could be interesting" - still seems to me that the models will be interesting watching for the next few days.

    Just been out for a ciggie and there is a light dusting here in Maldon, temp +0.7. Time for bed, hope to wake up to a bit more tomorrow!

    Still nothing in Maldon, and I cannot even lamp post watch as the tight council turn the lights off at midnight! Forecast based on the 06Z had a total of about 30cms over Wednesday to Saturday period, latest forecast now says total of 16cms :lol: Sods law I suppose.

    Absolutely nothing in Maldon, Essex - looks like I will be trying to take my daughter back to Loughborough tomorrow after all

    Anyone available for advice - am supposed to drive from Essex to Loughborough tomorrow, to take my daughter back to college (not allowed on site before 6pm, but must be back by 9pm) - would normally leave home 3pm ish for a leisurely drive, am I going to have problems tomorrow?

    Looks like my planned journey from Essex to Loughborough tomorrow afternoon is going to be an interesting one Have to get my daughter back to college just outside Loughborough between 6 and 9pm - normally set off 3pm ish, me thinks an earlier start may be in order

    Work within ear shot of Moot Hall in Maldon, which has a clock and bells which chime every 15 minutes (Westminster Chime tune) - snow and ice has obviously got into the bells (they are exposed to the elements anyway) and the chiming is very muffled!

    Just as I say this, the forcast is updated! Perhaps I should say where is all the snow and see if it starts!

    Models look interesting this morning, why hasn't the local forcast been updated from the 00Z run - I need the experts help to see what weather is expected from this set up!

    Light rain on and off since about 7:00 this morning, looks like it's going to brighten up in the next hour or so - was hoping that there might be at least a bit of sleet but never mind, there's always tomorrow! Maldon, coastal Essex.

    Just popped out to my car - have obviously had a rain shower recently with some snow in it, all now frozen on the car (Maldon, Essex)
