  1. For the lightning photos I used the Canon EOS350D, Sigma 18mm-200mm telelens, M-setting,f6.3, 100 ISO, 1s on a tripod and a lot of luck..... Because this lightningstorm was in daytime it is much harder to take lightning photos, if it was in nighttime it is much easier, 10s exposure at 100 ISO isn't a problem.
  2. Last evening was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen! Lightning and red rainbow all at the same time! Enjoy! Satelite image of the storms moving over the Netherlands.   5. In the early morning a thunderstorm cluster passed over the Netherlands. Because I woke up a bit to late the best lightshow went by, but still managed to take a few pics. Enjoy!
  6. In the afternoon of Sunday the 26th I saw i nice bright 22deg halo. 1 hour later the clouds came and the Sun was gone. Enjoy.
  7. In the evening big thunderstorms formed and crossed the Netherlands with lots of rain and lightning strikes. The next photos wil give an impression of one of the nicest storms I have had this year. Enjoy!

  11. A little thunderstorm formed just west of Amersfoort, Netherlands. With the Sun setting it got a nice orange look. The CB also produced some lightning, but didn't catch it on photo. Enjoy!
  12. Strange few days with a lot of unusual weather. A little irisation. The Horseshoe. The second photo is an enhanced one of the first.

  14. After a period with a lot of rain, storms and below normal temperatures, the sky over Amersfoort (Netherlands) looked just peaceful yesterday. Coronae, Circumzenitialarc, Sundog and a nice Sunset. Enjoy!

  16. This photo was made trough a 12inch LX200 Meade telescope just by holding my Canon EOS 350D with 18-55mm kitlens against a 52mm oculair.
  17. The fastest windgust in Amersfoort was about 118 km/h. and over 75.000 lightning strokes in 24h. This was my second heaviest storm I experinced (my worst was thyphoon Vamei in Singapore).
  18. Here are a few photo's a few hours later. They estemate the damage in the Netherlands at 15 million Euros. In southern Netherlands hailstones fell with a diam. of >5cm.
