Just had reports kicking off in Blythe since 0330 this morning, Lightning

ive been watching this develop for the last few hours, looks like we could get hit by 0600

looks like a few more strikes in that area i mentioned earlier, quite possible this could reach land in a few hrs

We never even got any warnings for last Thursdays storms, so you lot down South should be well prepared, {hopefully}.

currently watching that cell in the North Sea, looking at Netweathers radar, showing lightning strikes ahead of this cell. hope this pushes West onto Land

Lets hope you lot down South dont get it has bad as we got it last thursday, i recorded 55 mm in 2hrs other places had alot more than that, we was on the borderline, 3 supercells converged onto the North East that day, A day to remember for a long time

camera is rolling i have bout hr of video on there so hopefully might catch somethingIt's moving on a slight NW'rly track though so think the main bulk will miss Tyneside. The forecast for this area looks very interesting indeed the next few days, I wonder what we will be discussing on Monday!

Evening everyone
Well that was worth the long agonising wait, terrific storm this afternoon, just took me 3 hrs 45 mins to get home from work, usually 20 min journey,. my rain gauge recorded 55 mm rain between 1600hrs and 1830hrs . i work in Jarrow and i only have two ways to get home, through the tunnel, which has just reopend in the last 40mins and through Gateshead

Evening everyone
Nothing to report from the North East has of yet! However its been very humid and sticky throughout the day, even now the temperature is reading 18.4c with the humidity on 87%. Personally i think something is brewing for tomorrow afternoon,Looking at the charts they also suggest this too. {shame im at work} but camera will be at the ready just in case}

we must have been on the edge of that storm, no further rumbles since the last one, but looking to the north of me, its gone quite dark, looks like these storms are pushing down the coast line
