I’m pretty sure I’ve seen these runs before, didn’t December start with diving lows into Europe?

CoventryWeather spring is outside the model range, I wouldn't expect anything spring like just yet

Winter Hill pretty close to a really good fall but even here the fragmentation of the PPN and a slightly warmer air mass than predicted has pushed it to the wrong side of marginal. An inch of snow but it’s raining now so won’t be here for long

Lukesluckybunch what’s up with it?
-
Looks like that is it for the day as the PPN looks to move north, a couple of cm’s, temp slightly to high even up here

The heavy stuff breaks up just before it gets here, can happen maybe a slight southerly component to the wind.
a good dusting thou so far maybe 1 cm in the grass a little heavier now as I type and the wind is really gusting

can the heavy stuff make it? Or will the wind dry it out?

Snow has mostly been light to moderate, dusting but nothing troublesome atm.
radar looks good to the south but I think it will lighten as it moves north with the easterly wind in this area

WYorksWeather this run is heading one way thou so that will soon sort it out.
With anything to advocate the air west it doesn’t matter what air mass is there

GFS isn’t going to push any artic air back west, just a block, might keep us dry and cool but more likely mild and very wet -
Looking like a washout for most tomorrow, shame really because it had the makings of a memorable fall

but there is nothing to advocate the air west so it makes no difference

the charts that they say is a midlands event shows a great swath of the NW covered in snow from the southern lakes to Chester, but yeah Milan’s even for the two hours of sleet they are going to get
