There are no stations that report to your mobile phone per se. There are stations that upload to their own database which you can access via a mobile device but not for under £50.

Do you know if it'd be an App you'd have and access to view the data. If so I'd be interested if the price wasn't too high

  3. Looking at the models feels a bit like fishing to me. You get a hook, start reeling it and reeling it and just as you think you're going to land a nice big fish, the line snaps.

    1. I remember Atlantic 252

      I remember Atlantic 252

not as sunny here as mondays, 0phelia or summat, red sun, then sunny from 2pm

  9. Lovely start to the day here in the SE. Blue skies and a little breeze. Calm before the storm?

  10. Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria....HIM. It's almost like a message from above like stop with the global warming #letthedebatebegin

It seems as if everything is at is peak with the hurricanes and storms. Probably because it's been so benign for the last few years? Does all this hurricane activity influence our winter?

  11. Curious to know the temp/humidity last night. Felt like one of the warmest nights of the year. Certainly changed this morning though

    1. jvenge

      jvenge

Between 94-97% humidity and between 9.5 to 10.5C. According to the nearest Metoffice station to you.

    2. Coopsy

      Coopsy

Thanks! Humidity seems right but temp seems very low unless that was minima. At bedtime upstairs was recording 30oC in doors.

  12. Need your suggestions. I do a lot of driving and have a gut feeling we are gonna get loads of snow this year (wishful thinking). Anyone recommended great cars in the snow? I was thinking you can't go wrong with Range Rover

      Coopsy

It was 15oC at 3pm....it def dropped lower than round these parts that night

  15. Instinct tells me if we can't get summer now then we'll probably end up having an indian summer. Love September/Oct when its warm and sunny. It helps with the impending feeling of doom of what is a british winter lol

    1. karyo

      karyo

      Paul

Nearby stations in nth Kent showing 22-23c from what i can see - feeling like a lot warmer than that due to humidity. As for London, forecast was for around 27c there, so spot on! http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=uk7dayx7;ct=18351~London;sess=#forecast

  19. Has anyone gone to Aviemore in Jan/Feb and gone skiing? If so - is it worth it?

    1. Paul

      Paul

I lived up there for a winter season, and what I'd say is that when it's good, it's fantastic but it's not the most common event! If you're prepared to wait and base your trip on the weather/snow conditions it could be a brilliant trip, but if you're wanting to book in advance then have some alternate activities planned as backups, as you're not guaranteed to be skiing.

    2. Coopsy

      Coopsy

Perfect cheers for this. I think it'd be a last minute booking based on the weather as would be nice to time it with some snow. I can imagine in a mild spell it's pretty grim but amazing when the white stuff hits.

  20. What a lovely cool breeze tonight here in north Kent. Already under 20oC. Might be able to sleep tonight. Somehow don't think it'll be this comfortable tomorrow ...

It's frustrating. We get a bit of snow, and not long after that the rain comes along and washes what there is of it away.
