  1. Still lightly snowing here on the back end of the latest shower in Bourne. temp dropped to 0.0 from 0.3 an hour ago, wind chill -3 and dew point -1.9 ...snow depth just over 2.1cm...some nice depths against a few walls and fences though!
  2. About 1cm here from first shower and second shower just hitting us, a bit heavier than the last one. Nice to see it settle so easily for a change!
  3. Chin up sparky we already have thunder and lightning here in market deeping accompanied by that light rain. Incredibly humid feel.
  4. Well from an utterly miserable morning after an early sharp storm, out of nowhere we're basking in 22c and mostly clear skies. What a strange day! Hopefully something will pep up now the sun is working it's magic.
  5. Very short intense storm with plenty of lightning just passed over here, just north of peterborough. A nice display on the way to work until I hit the rain and struggled to see anything!
  6. Wow, just north of peterborough here and everything is flooded! Been many years since we've had so much rain in a short space of time. Deafening thunder and bright flashes as I type!
  7. Here near peterborough an hour ago I got this fantastic screenshot from my 6 minute video. Torrential hail and constant thunder and lightning! What a storm for January!
  8. Some snapshots from the storm last night that lasted from 2am until 8.30am...what a belter ...
  9. The second storm (smaller) had a couple of rumbles and light rain, lasted 15 mins Edit: more frequent thunder since it passed so Peterborough could get another good one
  10. SOrry, just realised how ungrateful that sounded.... I was just hoping for some good pics of lightning.
  11. Unfortunately just torrential rain constant thunder and occasional sheet lighning here. Perhaps would have been better looking from a distance but I'. Happy as we really needed the rain!
  12. We'll see how it develops... Just reaching us and looking at radar it could last an hour when it gets overhead....only seen flashes no forks yet as reported further north
  13. Constant thunder and rain just starting here in Bourne... Black as night! This is shaping up to be our best storm since 2007!
  14. As much as I enjoy watching storms, and following TSs/hurricanes, I am in Jamaica from the 22nd may to the 5th June, and I for one hope the season start holds out for another month... are there any more updates from you more knowledgeable members on how things are currently shaping up? Thanks in advance.
  15. heaviest snow of the day here. fresh inch covering on roads that were wet 90 minutes ago, between 3 to 6 inches on all other surfaces, more in places on grass. winter wonderland!
  16. We saw this from Market Deeping in Lincolnshire straight after football training (we finish at 9)
  17. Temp up to 0.5 and just started turning to wet snow. a great fresh covering so far though!
  18. Still heavy snow here in bourne with a fresh inch covering since nine ish. Temp crept up to 0.0 though from -0.4
  19. here in bourne the light stuff has finally started falling.....expected it hours and hours ago but have been on the edge all day....i guess we're in the disappointed category.
  20. we had a 5 minute shower in bourne an hour ago but nothing since ...this is tedious watching the radar
  21. probably our last storm of the day after nearly 8 hours of constant storms. all pictures are of the last strike of the day unless we catch any of the dying storms.....very very impressive storms today. unbelievable!
  22. Wow what a day! Started about half twelve and not stopped thundering or lightning since, until now. We've had a half hour break and the next one is just arriving. Most impressive afternoon for years and I got to watch it all from playing on my local football pitch.
  23. Some very impressive deep rumbles from that shower north of peterborough with cold large rain drops. Still silly hot though and no lightning.
  24. That storm heading to norwich is the one that passed here (bourne to sleaford ish) around seven. It wasnt as organised then but had impressive size hail, updrafts and constant Thunder and lightning causing flash flooding of roads
