  1. I think it's fair to say when it's all been said and done that the only area this week that wasn't effected by thundery weather was the NE of England....which begs the question, why did I agree to move up here ?...
  2. Behave yourself, I'm a northerner now and up here we haven't had a sniff and are not likely to either according to modelling
  3. Its all that hot air you're blowing out with your exhortations Chris, it's causing an inversion
  4. Lol...I recently moved up here from the south, was thinking about getting my long John's out, you guys are hard as nails on seaburn beach wearing skimpy trunks lol
  5. currently 22c in newcastle and here in sunderland, compared with further south, that's bone-chillingly cold....nothing expected in the NE at all today, a few elevated showers loitering around the northern pennines & scottish borders but that's it, we're completely out of the game this week
  6. you forgot the most important one...Thunderless in Tyne& Wear......The big TIT
  7. Hi, yes I've been watching them too...nice high based Ac Cas towers, some bright echoes on radar....a shame they're offshore heading away from us
  8. why did I ever decide to move to the NE?.....Stormless capital of the UK back down south temps in the 30's with big storms in the offing, up here 17C and more chance of a lottery win than a storm ...lol
  9. Hi all, I'm having issues viewing any charts, radar & nw headline news articles.....throws up the following error message " Oops.... Unfortunately the page you're trying to reach is no longer on the Netweather website. This doesn't mean the forecast or feature you're trying to find no longer exists, perhaps you have typed in the incorrect address or are using an old link or bookmark which has been changed. All of the main areas on the site can be reached using the menu at the very top of this page, if you still can't find what you're looking for, please contact us and we will be glad to help".......tried multiple browsers and cache clearance
  10. thickening Ac Cas flooding in from the south.....new storms firing over west yorks heading this way
  11. just moved to the NE of England this week.......maybe, just maybe I might get lucky storm wise
  12. only 50 miles north of you and its still 25C here.....lovely
  13. 'extremely underwhelming' sums it for here last night... absolutely nothing... disappointing, it has to be said
  14. Dierdre & Sandra at Table One, just looked behind them, picked up their hand-bags and left, I wonder if they're NWx Radar Subscribers?...hmm
  15. yup, sun setting to the west there.....so it's a case of 'Look, it's behind you ! "....lol
  16. if lightning from that hits drift-wood, will it be 'Smoke on the Water' ?....I'll fetch me coat
  17. that is a wonderful photo....in-flow bands feeding the main updraft by the looks of things
  18. interesting sat24 loop of that storm departing north cornwall.....large spill-off of cloud to the north crossing western wales....indicative of large amount of shear above 750-500 hpa boundary?
  19. nice y-fronts hidden at the back there....a true pantz connoisseur.... @Mapantz will be green with envy
  20. sadly trying to make ends meet so underneath here will have to be my hideout tonight
  21. as a couple of members have noted, ignore the nuances of todays model outputs as how many times before have we seen the following?.... 10:00pm....."Radar's dead, ITS A BUST, CALL THE WAAAAAAAAMBULANCE !!" 11:00pm....
  22. as the legend that was 'mr-crazy-snowfan' would say....'lots of rumblies of thunders here' (you have to have been on here for years to know what I'm on about !)....nothing overhead, but plenty of deep growls to my NE over Swindon from the cells training SE/NW over berks/wilts/glos
  23. interesting storm to my west, plenty of thunder, but what interests me is the radar loop and the low level rotation I've observed....zoom in on post code sn15 and watch the storm motion....almost due north against the WNW flow of surrounding cells.....looks quite well organised with a decent hail core
  24. line of storms passed to the north of me (still under the trailing edge).....bright sunshine overhead all afternoon with not a drop of rain, but an hour's worth of rumbles from these training cells....I bet swindon-malmsbury-stroud areas got drenched !
  25. Current cloudscapes south, east and north respectively....all mid level....
