Chucking it down in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Thunder and lightning has been coming and going and rumbling around since about 8.50am!!!

I don't mind the heat as long as there is a breeze and is not too humid. Definatly cool nights for sleeping though.
My ideal day would be hot and sunny (25-30c) with a moderate breeze so it is comfortable to sit out, until about 6/7pm when the storm clouds build and, then, about 10pm there would be a storm/storms until 3am with rain, clearing by 6am to start another of my ideal days.

Looks like 'Will it rain today' radar is down - anybody else experiencing this?
Working fine for me. I'm using Chrome browser.

Posted this on the severe weather discussion board aswell.
I have been trying to work out how to take photos with an iPhone whilst it is on a tripod and NOT have to keep touching the phone. Turns out that, when Apple launched iOS5 it allowed the volume-up button on your iPhone to be used as a shutter release, aswell as keeping the screen button there aswell.
Turns out that the "up" volume button on the original Apple headphones also acts as a shutter release!!!!!!!!!!

Here's hoping.

This was over Newark about 3 hours ago...
Brilliant shot. I'm up that way on Saturday for the Americana International show at the Newark showground. Definatly taking my camera and spare batteries!!!

Could do with either something kicking off here or for the cold front to move through as it is very humid and close here. Breathing is hard work in this humidity.

After some lovely storms and nice, warm sunshine, I get a call to say my 7 year old cat has not woken up from the anaesthetic, absolutely distraught...
So sorry to hear about this. He/she will always be in your heart though. xxx

I finished my last exam on Monday; what better way is there to celebrate than some nasty storms?
Well, I'm sure for 'normal' people there are better ways, but for me, and others on this website...
Normal is boring though!!!!!!
