  6. December of 2011 was worst December in Spain

We have not Snow in our mountains, we have not rain, we just have 1 snow day in my city...

As you can see...our minimun temperatura was -5,4º (normally the coldest minimun on December is about -9º), our maximun temperatura was +16,6º (normally the warmest one is about 10º)

    December 2011: 8,9º (average 4,6º), so we have +4,3º

Incredible month, horrible month...it is a bad dream :cray:  .

Well I hope that January will be better

    HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!!! :drinks:

  7. With your permission, I am going to talk about Spain.

We have a warmest Autumn since 1960, October and September in Madrid were the hotest of the history.

Now, we have a strange December, our mountains are without snow (so many people have lost their jobs because about 50.000 people of Madrid´s mountains lives thanks to the Winters), and we have a eternity H.

    It is the climate change?

I have a few temperatures of yesterday:

    Madrid city:

    Retiro Park: 1,1º and 14,4º (650masl)

Madrid- French Bridge: -6,0º and 16,1º (600 masl, close to the river)

    Madrid Airport: -2,7º and 14,8º (580masl)

    Madrid-University City: -1,4º and 14,3º (690 masl)

    Villalba (My city, Madrid´s): -2,6º and 15,9º (+8,1º)

    Avila City (1130 masl): Minimun -1,4º Max: 14,6º (+7,9º)

    Soria City (1030masl): Min: -6,5º Max 14,8º (+9º)

    Cuenca City (900masl): Min: -2,7º Max: 18,0º (+11º)

And there are some towns with strange maximun temperatures, some of them with historic records:

    Cañete (Cuenca): Min: -9,3º Max: 20,0º (+15º)

    Cantalojas (Guadalajara): -6,6º and 16º

Duruelo de la Sierra (Soria) : -7º and 17,9º

There is just one city that has seen the Snow, Burgos. It is so strange because in Avila, Burgos, León and Soria usually they see the Snow on the third week of November.

Where is the Winter?.... it is the climate change?

    Greatings from Madrid

    Merry Christmas

  8. We have had a warm Autumn, and this firsts days of the new season are warm too.

The last Friday it was snowing up to 800-900masl (I saw snow flakes in my town), but the Snowfall was light, It was not more than 10-20cm in the mountains low to 2000 masl (normally in December is to get more than 50 or 60cm).

October was the warmest October since 1850 in Madrid and November was wet and warm, I just had two nights below 0º degrees.
