Well the forecast for this weekend looked not so good, with rain at times and grey skies. Turned out not too bad at all. Both days had a fair amount of sun. hardly needed a coat yesterday midday.

Welcome back. Yes,I have missed you and your blogs. Seems you missed the pleasant weather over the weekend and brought the rain and cloud back with you.

Rain started by 1.30pm. Not exceptionally windy yet, just grey and gloomy.

Frost on the cars and grass this morning. Temperature showing as 1.1C at the moment. At least the sky is blue and sun is shining.

Yes. It was around 5/6pm. My husband went for an interview before the snow. He couldn’t believe how quickly it happened. By the time he finished the interview snow was fairly thick on the ground. I remember our children, along with the local kids all rushing out and throwing snowballs. Think it had more or less melted by middle of the following day.

Doesn't seem possible that we have a chance of snow in the next few days here. Temp is currently 10.9C !. Getting tired of bland grey weather now, so looking forward to something different.

Same here. I would love to see it. Not sure about this evening, sun shining here at the moment, but clouds looking towards the North, so not sure if it will be clear enough later.

Clear skies here now. Two planets showing well low in the night sky, presumably Jupiter and Venus? Feeling much colder today.

Well it doesn’t look like we will be getting any snow or frost for a while yet around here. Perhaps the New Year will bring some of the white stuff before Spring appears. Wishing all my fellow weather watchers a Happy Christmas and Healthy New year anyway. Let’s hope 2023 is peaceful and happy

Up to 6.2C now. Highest temperature here for a while. Shame we couldn't have had a low pressure bringing convection in from the SW, and a nice snow storm before the rise in temperature. Oh well maybe next time!

Very light snizzle here, nothing showing on the radar. Temp 0.6C.

Woohoo snow this morning. Lasted an hour or so, which is longer than I expected, petering out now. Has given a covering on the surfaces, temp up to 1.5C so it will probably melt once it stops.

Heavy frost on the cars this morning and frost on the grass etc. Temperature at 7am was -2C. Beginning to rise now. Lovely to see, but back to scraping windscreens again, not much fun. On this plus side at least the grass should stop growing.

That's what I thought, but looking at the radar there is a lot more rain on the way. It's been a dull, miserable afternoon here.

Just been outside doing some gardening. Felt like summer out there! Sky is blue, sun shining , and my weather station is showing 16.6C although feels warmer.

Hearing constant rumbles of thunder here now and the sky is an ominous grey. -
Can’t believe I slept through that thunder. Husband says we had a few rumbles between about 6 and 6.45am. Raining out there now and still dark

Torrential here too. Never seen it so heavy. We are mid terrace and either side of us the gutters are overflowing. Think the downpipes either end are a bit blocked.

4.1C here at the moment so must have been colder earlier. However the sky is blue and the sun is shining, so hopefully another nice day coming up.

You can be sure it would not happen if the precipitation was snow!
