Been thundering on and off for about half an hour now,very heavy rain...seems the storm is all around at the moment.....temp out side is 24

I can confirm we have had heavy rain for the last 20 minutes and now thunder but no lightening seen

Thunder & lightning but more thunder than lightning,heavy rain at the moment,seems to be coming from north easterly direction.

Had rumbles of thunder for the past 20 mins but no lightening as yet,coming over very dark.Just had one big crack of thunder so battoning down the hatches now and waiting to see what developes.

Just poppeed outside for a smoke when i saw a flash of lightning,it appears to be towards kettering but the clouds are heading my way.No thunder just inter cloud activity,it does look quite spectacular.

Was just off to bed at 12:48 when i heard rumbling and guessed it was thunder,a min later a large flash and thunder,was 3 more flashes and loud thunder, torrential rain which lasted about 20 mins and it was gone.

Storm finally got here at 3:32 with torrential rain,big flash and just a rumble of thunder,then another flash at 3:51 with huge thunder.Had a few more flashes and slight thunder till 4:10 and that was that,was expecting more ,but hey ho. Humidity is stll 94% today,slight overcast with darkening skies to the south of me.

We felt it here as well,at 12.53 ...was awake when the house just rumbled,the handles on the wardrobe knocked and we both got up,lasted for about 10 seconds or so,i had to put computer on to see if anything was on the net,but have only found posts here.Im sitting here shaking like a leaf !

Just started snowing here .......a light flurry,with a few bigger flakes thrown in,im crossing my fingers for more to come. Outside weather station thermometer reading -1 at the moment.

dark clouds forming & slight rumbles of thunder heard in the distance coming from bedforshire. No rain but very very humid. I have tied the back garden down lol Flump

Woke up this morning expecting a load of snow but only found it was raining :blush: Been raining most of the day..forcast says snow to come but i'm not holding my breath.

Lastest snow fall in rushden is 2.5 cm deep and still falling fast & heavy.Could be a significant amount by the morning if this keeps up ..... :o regards flump

Some large drops of rain about half an hour ago, then it threw it down ......a few bolts of lightening but nothing exciting.Just started raining again as i speak........sky still dark and looking very stormy.........have we more to come in my area ?

Started lightening around 8:30 but only the odd rumble of thunder,lightening was all around and quite spectacular ......as i thought ! but then the whole mother of a storm came in with avengance ,power was on and off,sattelite went down,and with the most enormous crack of thunder the power went again ,i nearly jumped outta my skin !Our power was fine but the lightening hit a sub station locally and put the other side of town without electric.We had intracloud /cloud to ground of all was spectacular.There is still some intercloud lightening now as i speak but no thunder.The best ive seen in years ! is there more to come tonight for us ? very humid still and the odd heavy shower...........Thank you god for the excellent light show !

all quiet here in northamptonshire with the sun shining after the recent storm weve just had.There were some cracking bolts of lightening to be seen. Last nights storm hit a bungalow in irchester which is the next village to me,plus a house in corby was hit.

wow some excellent pictures there,sorry i havnt nothing to show yet but i just had to comment on the array of those excellent pictures in this thread.................i knew i bought a camera for a reason, i now know why.

absolutely nothing this end of northamptonshire but heavy rain which started about 11:45am and stopped about 4:00pm .No thunder except for one rumble around 3:00pm ,some slight rain again later this evening.At the moment its dry but muggy outside .I would have loved to see a storm ,although i have been struck three times i love to see the lightening.Ahh well maybe the next storm that comes along i wont miss.
