    Snow during the day has sometimes been like beads of styrofoam. At the minute it's very fine powder. Not had huge accumulations but it's blowing around like a dervish

    6 -13 cm but difficult to say, roofs are scoured to the ties and it's piling up at any stagnation point. Wind could be more important than overall depth with drifting across roads.

    Looked very black here but seems to have tracked just south of Thornton, still plenty of cloud about. Brighter to north towards Glenrothes.

    Brightened up quite a bit now, snow off but still overcast. Looks as if some blacker cloud coming in from the East. Could get interesting again.

    Yey! THUNDER SNOW! Out in park with the dog, only one thunderclap but loud and it was snowing! Some more doggy pics after I've had a cuppa.

    Back from shop, bacon, egg and black pud for brecky. Dog whining for me to take him out. Have to wait 'till I've finished my tea!

    2cm overnight, total 6cm. Another heavy snow shower just started. Dog is nuts!

    Light dusting here in Thornton. Snow showers blowing through but nothing too serious. Going out with the dog in a bit so will get a feel for that wind chill. Sun breaking through atm.

    Out with dog, +2C in the car. Light breeze, no more snow but very raw feel. Hands freezing with gloves on. Not good for the nether regions.
