The East Midlands warnings only cover Derby City and Derbyshire now and it lasts until midnight. However looking at the radar maybe another hour or two as its already clearing Birmingham.
It feels too good to be true that tommorow there is a major snow event rather than FI. I would listen to the BBC and take note of their predictions. For that snow event in January they got it bang on despite many claiming London wouldnt see nothing yet even Central London had a dusting.
Are Derby and Nottingham too far north to see the heaviest falls. The BBC and Met Office forecast is very good however some on this board are predicting it to be more of a Birmingham area thing which would be highly annoying knowing a place a few miles down the road is getting a good dumping. I could be soo soo close bet yet again no cigar.
Some ice pellets/ wet snow in Derby. It looks as if half the city was under sunny skies whilst the north east of the city saw the heavy shower. The city centre had sunny blue skies above but the wind brought in a flurry to the city centre.
Snow flurries on and off all night in Derby and there is a flurry at the moment from a blue sky and bright sun and all the flakes are still settling. An amazing start to the day as it look very pretty.
