  1. I usually really enjoy the 17/18/19c's at this time of the year, nowhere close down here so far.
  2. I was on 6.9c and thought I would end up a degrees or two short, but I got increasingly concerned that we could hit 7c or even 7.1c, and I could end up too low, kept thinking, surely not!..... Funny old game this.
  3. Yes that's true, for many years the east of the country was a good place for snowfall, a lack of cold easterlies and persistent Scandi highs in Winter months is the problem, they usually turn up outside of Winter months these days.
  4. Just saw the picture, that's not St Georges Mushroom!
  5. Might be the St Georges mushroom that grows in Spring, usually April and can grow in large patches so usually once you find one there will be more in that area, but needs rain and mild damp weather so not around every year and by May it's growing season will be just about over, edible and prized in places like Italy. Not saying you should eat it, but I used to go foraging for this fungi years ago, I would suggest you do a google search to identify it.
  6. I noticed 49mph max recorded near here, big waves for most of the afternoon, anyway it's calmed down now at last.
  7. Yesterday evening was a small line of intense rain and wind that ran along the SE coast and inland areas, It started from around Brighton, moving eastwards. The radar showed this most clearly (bright red colours) in a line running NE and just east of Hastings and Tenterden around 9.30/10pm, no thunder or lightning was reported as far as I am aware.
  8. My word, at this rate we could be at 6c by tomorrow, after a mild night already 11-15c widely I noticed at 1pm.
  9. I was thinking that, getting exciting now as we look forward to the first warm spells and some light shows.
  10. The irony is that you have probably missed out by only a few miles, I noticed that the heavy PPN and snow was running north of you, from around Ipswich to Norwich. Any pictures?
  11. Looks like PPN is intensifying on the radar around Suffolk, must be some pretty heavy snow around up that way close to Ipswich.
  12. Yes, I have been keeping an eye for any shift SE, having none of it. Another disappointment, just had lots and lots of RAIN!
  13. 50/50? Is that too much, I'm still hoping for a Bexhill snow party, might get up early and if it's just rain/sleet go for a hunt up one of them hills!
  14. If I was in East Anglia I'd be keeping my eye on that nice clump of showers moving down the North sea, catch one of them and you should get a covering pretty fast. This muck over the SE is now starting to get on my nerves, it needs to clear and let that colder air south, temps to drop further this evening if we want the PPN moving in to turn to snow.
  15. Problem is we hardly ever get a true northerly or a north easterly in the SE, if we did and it was cold enough then we would get snow. Think you may get a fair bit.
  16. Might have to get myself up one of them hills then I think, stand more of a chance then right here on the coast.
