    Fired mine up today just ro check it works, but otherwise it remains off until it's blooming freezing.

    I got up at 6am to make the Missus her lunch for work (shes a decade younger than me and has yet to join me in retirement) and it was a mighty -11°C outside the kitchen window. Now the sun is peeping over the horizon I can see a very heavy frost. I'll soon have my weather station so will be able to better monitor overnight temps.

    Strange here in south Northants - very bright shunshine, and it's snowing moderately heavily.
