That was a good time to pop out and see if it was snowing yet!!!
Amazing sight.
-
Just had fairly heavy but brief hail, followed by snow (still snowing now and a dusting on the ground)
-
Precipitation seems to be fizzling out before it gets here at the moment, very little bar the occasional spot of rain so far.
-
Very light rain started here now.
Nearest station showing temp as 6.3C with a dewpoint of 2C and slightly on the rise again at the moment.
-
Just seen on Twitter that our area is not sending out the gritters tonight.
Hey ho....
-
Raining North West Surrey ☔
That's very localised, nowt here in Deepcut!
Edit: Hang on, very light snow again
-
Literally 10 seconds of fluffy snow in Deepcut.
Worth the two year wait.
-
Thames is now at it's highest for years after the sustained rain, definitely the worst flooding I've seen on this stretch for a long while

Spotted a couple of links on my Flickr page from here, so I thought I'd share a few of my recent shots.

Slightly irritated by the 7-day forecast for the last few days.
Has told me it will be 0% cloud cover, and each day has been like today, 100% cloud cover until early evening and occasionally drizzly.
Grr
-
Good couple of inches now laying here, my car has just shed a bonnet-full to the ground though, suggesting the temps may be rising a little?
-
Just woke up to this in Deepcut....
That was unexpected, the last BBC weather report didn't show snow anywhere near us.
-
Really chuffed for those getting a pasting, but partly gutted that we've only been on the sidelines looking in today.
-
Oh for goodness sake! Watched a big dark patch heading right for us, and suddenly it splits into two.....
Who put a snow shield over the M3?
-
Don't want to make you guys too jealous.
But we just had a couple of snowflakes. Stopped now though.
-
Bitterly cold but no precip of any kind here yet....
-
We've gone from sleety snow with big old flakes mixed in (not settling as much more than a thin layer of slush), to fog with a little snizzle.
It's odd out there
-
The best events tend to be the ones that crop up out of nowhere
Some extremely heavy snow in Surrey and Sussex, looks like could give a few inches to people and it wasn't forecast by any of the models
.....and ignore.
People get absolutely blasted for the slightest negativity on here, but this troll gets free reign?

Well I'm in Guildford right now so I'll keep you upto date, I'm not sure temp profiles are actually that great for loads of snow, with the airflow the way it is we'll get slightly moderated airflow, so we'll be more marginal than places say to the north or south.
We will see though, some places will probably do quite well on this band though, especally as the parent low does appear to be a decent way NE of where it was forecasted to be looking at the radar (probably 50-60 miles further NE/ENE.
The closer to the coast you go, the more marginal this becomes, say is true the closer you get to the Thames Estuary/London center.
I'm slap bang in the middle of that triangle mentioned. It's coming down very heavy, settling well. Seems quite wet though.
-
Very fine 'flakes' here but thick and fast. Cars cleared but covered in a dusting in 10 minutes.
Want the proper flakes so I can take more of these though...

Not complaining too much though

Dusting.
Out of nowhere.
-
Was just about to go to bed, but that spinner is looking like it might clip us here.... *crosses fingers*
Anything more here will be a real unexpected bonus
-
Just checked the tally for a final time for the day
5 inches laying on the lawn.
Not too shabby at all.
-
The sky is a beautiful and eerie orange colour at the moment...

I'm not far away either.
Absolutely desperate for a frost, let alone snow. Had at least a few decent frosty mornings at least this time last year.
