  1. That was a nice refreshing downpour yesterday eve. In Huddersfield / Kirklees it probably lasted a couple of hours and was quite heavy, but nicely cooled down the air

I was caught out twice in a grim massive hail storm in Huddersfield which came in two large waves, then went to Dewsbury on the train, and only 8 miles away, there was no sign of hail and it was bright and clear. I thought that was really weird. Such a significant weather change between two towns close to each other

  4. Well the weather is improving. It's an Englishman's tradition to complain about the weather, so once it improves there will be less discussion. It's just the nature of it all. I bet when Summer kicks in, the forum will become incredibly active again with 'OOH it's too hot' and panicking over heat waves and atlantic pressure zones.
  5. Well the snow was fun while it lasted ( always pretty ), but spring has to kick in at some point, so I welcome the thaw
