  1. Arguably a busier road than Fellside road in Whickham that runs to burnopfield, and this is Fellside road this morning
  2. It's bizarre. Just had a look myself. The small side street I live on isn't covered yet Whickham highway at lobley hill is white. We must have been unluckily in a gap all night! I reckon no more than a cm on grass that will be gone by 11am.
  3. Very poor show in Whickham. Looks like there's a gap in the chunky showers over Tyneside. Another one to forget
  4. I'm not holding out any hope. All of the forecasts, that were initially covering us with snow from this evening, have flipped to the odd shower.
  5. The showers are very slow moving so if you're lucky to get hit today I'd expect a long downpour. you look to be in line for the next shower!
  6. The Metoffice have changed from heavy snow all morning to light snow transitioning to rain on Friday morning for my location. It was only a matter of time. And I'm over 400ft about 15 mile from the coast.
  7. Me too. It's been very much a 'close but no cigar' winter this year. Looking ahead to some warmth now. Actually now they've got precipitation forecast for tomorrow - rain!
  8. We've had snow falling for almost an hour in Whickham. There's a small covering on grass and in cracks in pavements but otherwise just wet on the ground.
  9. Aye, but a headline along the lines of Updated weather warning as Teesside prepares for a potential light flurry!!! Doesn't sell papers or encourage clicks.
  10. Morning. After a light shower at 10pm or so last night that didn't amount to anything we've had nothing at all in Whickham. Looking at the radar I don't think those showers are going to come inland anytime soon if at all. Oh well, 8 degrees and rain to look forward to next. At least cold and snowy is nice to look at and be in. Cold and dry just means you need to wear a hat and pay extra for heating
