A quick question. Here in Bedford we seem to have storms start then the lightning and thunder stops fairly quickly. This had happened in the past few years? Any reason why? Bedford is obviously by the Ouse etc does this have any bearing whatsoever? Just curious
I was always told that living near the chilterns if the storm didn’t get in it would travel around and hence miss places in Bedfordshire. Don’t know if that’s possible?
Everything is dying out before reaching here. Thought we may be in for a few cm tonight but not sure now! Any idea if the showers will pep up overnight?! Hoping but I think not. Frustrating
Will have a look, temp dropping here and dew point now -3c so that will be enough. Certainly developing situation. Still we were quite lucky the other week. Fingers crossed.
Am I right in thinking if the precipitation is further north than was first thought is that good news for more west of the EA region? have a very light covering on grass/cars etc here but clearing now. Def a nowcast and radar watching situation.
