    They only seem to actually update that part of the forecast once every 24hrs so although it says 'updated at 0400' it's always the same as it was at 1600

    I completely agree and nobody seemed to notice or put any importance on the predicted positive daytime temperatures either. I'm also an amateur /enthusiast but the way today has turned out hasn't surprised me one bit!

    I'm calling this the Marginal From The East, MFTE!! Marginal rain/sleet/snow that I stayed up all night to watch. Marginal ability of the snow to settle. Marginal will it ever get down to freezing point. Marginal levels of sanity left after chasing this day for weeks, scrolling through forums and watching forecasts.

    I would love to respond with emoji's to some of what I've been reading in the last hour but making enemies is generally a bad idea! This is the beginning of a rare event for us and I understand the anxiety over it going wrong at the last minute. I guess it's ok to be fearful of that but getting irate with each other is just so pointless and frankly it's killing the mood!

    If there's anything to be concerned about it'll be investigated big time on here.... That's why I favour reading these discussions over the tv forecasts in situations like this. Weather apps should be banned!!

    Absolutely agree! This is all incredibly addictive. Think I might have a problem! Is there such a thing as snow chasers anonymous (SCA)?

    Has anyone else noticed that the beeb forecasts, national and SE on Sunday show temps of +2 or 3c? In my experience that means snow NOT settling!? Why are they showing such high temps?

    Pure rain just outside t/wells at 150m but radar shows all sleet. I don't get it! Is it me......?

    With all these promises, expectations and let downs, life as a weather lover in the SE has become an emotional roller-coaster! Think I might have to see my gp about some diazepam if winter carries on like this
