  1. Clearly much variability in the models a week away but I'd be a happy man if this verified. Bring on an early prolonged warm, dry and sunny Spring please weather controls master above.
  2. Anyone know who this? This evenings snow pellets/intense soft hail were so ferocious, I saw this on my walk around the block with my best friend (MY DOG ;-)). Recognise these feet?? If so, please don't contact me
  3. Thanks D.V.R, I really appreciate that sincere kind reply, that's real . The next snow event I pray you get plastered with a damn good snowfall that is the envy of many!! So many members now on net-weather, and many many many others that are not members sitting back reading this amazing forum from a distance to get a rough idea what is happening in our part of the world. To those that read this that sit on the back row quietly, please get involved......... 17 years ago 'almost' when I joined net-weather as Mammatus (August 11th 2004). Four years later in 2008 I won the July photography competition with a shot in-between Newmarket and Cambridge with my Nikon D80 DSLR lense. The greatest thing EVER was at the end of the year I gave my Gran the 2009 Calendar supplied by net-weather. A few years later my amazing gran (mum's mum) died sadly and her calendar remains protected safely with my few ever so valued keep safes. Anyway............ my profile is a Robin and although I love birds I don't love them that much. I love cod way more, especially battered.
  4. Great to see others getting a good snowfall. I love snow but only white snow, if it's yellow I walk away lol
  5. If I could transfer my snow to you I would D.V.R . I had my snow fix 3/4 days ago and now ready for a blazing hot and sunny Spring and Summer with severe thunderstorms. Joking aside, the endless times since I was young to mid thirties when I watched the radar buffeting eastern Counties with snow showers (during cold spells of course) whilst literally nothing fell inland. Just frosty, cold and mainly dry. It is swings and roundabouts though, inland gets the best thunderstorms more often than not especially so in Cambridgeshire towards the Fens. I know as chased every Spring and Summer from 2001 throughout Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire when all ingredients were there and captured much on camera/video. 2009 I was main headline on Lookeast 'Featured' as caught 2 funnel clouds fall from a MCS I'd positioned myself perfectly with (after 5 hours chasing) then one of the tubes dropped onto the Cambridgeshire fields a few miles in-front of me. My name is in the International Journal of Meteorology forever. Gavin - Tornado - 2009 Point is, your really in the best place all day long inland - I promise you! Snow is great - Storms are indescribable!!!! We had NO storms in Lowestoft last Summer, it was extremely painfall watching everything erupt inland when I couldn't get there (lockdown and temporary no transport). I guess this snow is those above saying "Gav you robbed last Summer, here is some snow to make you feel a bit better"
  6. Anyway, here's my garden after the last event. TOO MUCH...... someone else have it now lol
  7. Jesus, look at this little beast about to drop more snow on Lowestoft. I wish it would stop now................ Rainfall Radar - Met Office WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK UK rainfall radar map.
  8. Have had a few heavy groupel showers in Lowestoft the past hour. A snow plough has recently been down our road too, which I haven't seen in recent years.
  9. The latest radar image certainly ties in with the fax output for around this time with the streamer situated just off the Essex coast with moderate to heavy snow showers rolling into Kent. North and east Norfolk, east Suffolk and southeast Essex look likely to continue seeing moderate to perhaps heavy snow showers until later on this evening with further accumulations, especially later on as the temperature's drop away. After midnight pressure rises will eradicate most of the showers with many areas becoming clear and very cold! Wouldn't be surprised to see minimum temperature's approaching -10C under snow cover in rural inland Essex or Norfolk.
  10. Clouds looked threatening when I took this photo 10 minutes ago, now snowing heavily.
  11. Some convective clouds drifting in from the North Sea again after some clear, crisp sunny skies for the past hour. Another snow shower wouldn't go a miss to be honest . Video of this morning's snow shower before skies cleared around 10:30 am.
  12. After some heavy snow showers earlier on the skies are now partially clear again with some lovely Winter sunshine. Everything still frozen solid with a keen bitter wind blowing off the sea. Some pictures and a video of this morning's snow show shower. IMG_0027.MOV
  13. Headphones on, volume up and max the video to full screen! You can hear the whistling/screaming and roar of hurricane Iota.
  14. Iota looks incredibly powerful!! Poor people in Nicaragua having to endure this immensely violent hurricane.
