  1. This morning was mainly overcast, which developed into light rain at lunchtime and then returned quickly to overcast, then, by mid-afternoon the cloud started breaking up and some sun got through. It's now heading back to overcast. I feel we've been overly overcast today.

Temperature reached a maximum of 10.9deg.C at 17:27 up from a minimum of 0.0deg.C at 06:03, humidity is 75%, wind is a very light southerly, pressure is 1034.0hPa steady, there's been 0.2mm of rain today and cloud cover is 7/8.

  2. Yesterday threw up a mix of sunshine, freezing rain, hail and snow. Today there isn't a cloud in the sky. What a beautiful morning.

Temperature 3.3deg.C up from an overnight minimum of -5.5deg.C at 06:40, humidity is 74%, wind 0 to 1mph south-southeasterly, pressure is 1030.0hPa rising slowly, there's been no precipitation today, cloud cover is non-existent and the dew point is at -1deg.C.

Me and you got something in common. The desire to start a fight in an empty room.

Moi?! How very dare you? That's a monstrous accusation. This isn't an empty room.

And you haven't a leg to stand on.

Meanwhile, temperature is up to 4.8deg.C after an overnight minimum of -4.8deg.C at 06:36, humidity is 66%, there's no wind to speak of, pressure is 1023.3hPa steady, there's been 1.0mm of precipitation (snow) in the last 24 hours, cloud cover is 4/8 allowing a steady stream of bright sunshine to improve the day and the dew point is at -1deg.C so we may see some wintry showers yet.

Really heavy. Can’t describe it as hail or graupel. Couldn’t look more like snow if it tried

Yes, the sky to the East (towards you) had gone very dark now, while the sky to the west is still hanging on to some blue patches. Forecast is for snow tonight though.

Temperature now 2.9deg.C, humidity is 78%, wind is 2 to 4mph northwesterly and the dew point is at -1deg.C so snow is possible I suppose.

  5. A beautiful day so far with big, white clouds and big, blue spaces in-between. Meanwhile, up the road, the good people of the council scheme are honouring the passing of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh with a 41 sawn-off shotgun salute. Or it's another gang fight, but, as I don't hear police sirens or the helicopter, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Temperature currently 7.5deg.C (max for the day so far) up from a minimum of -5.8deg.C at 06:22, humidity is 50%, wind is 0 to 2mph north-northeasterly, pressure is 1019.3hPa steady, there's been 0.2mm of rain today / last 24 hours, cloud cover is 5/8 and the dew point is at -3deg.C.

I'm about to go for a walk round the village, once I find my flak jacket; they don't have blanks up the road.

  7. There's more cloud about this morning but the sun has found a way of continuing to shine on through. Another lovely morning in what is becoming a dream ticket of a Spring season here in the southwest of Scotland.

Temperature 5.7deg.C up from a minimum of -4.2deg.C at 04:29, humidity is 55%, wind is an almost non-existent westerly, pressure is 1024.7hPa steady, there's been no precipitation in the last 24 hours, cloud cover is 6/8 and the dew point is at -3deg.C.

  8. By an uncommon measure of good luck the few clouds that made an appearance today have missed the village completely and so it's been a sunny day from beginning to end, albeit cold and windy with a maximum temperature of only 6.4deg.C at 16:14 and the wind rising to 17mph at 13:14. The dew point hasn't risen above -3deg.C all day. All that being the case it's been a grand day for sitting in and looking out.

  9. No sign of snow here, in fact not much sign of the clouds needed to bring some snow, so it's just another bright, sunny morning. Except it's cold.

Temperature currently 3.4deg.C up from a minimum of -2.7deg.C at 06:56, humidity is 58%, wind 3 to 6mph northwesterly (very sheltered here from any wind with a westerly component), pressure is 1024.1hPa rising slowly, there's been no precipitation today and 1.0mm of rain in the last 24 hours, cloud cover is 1/8 and the dew point is at -4deg.C.

  10. The weather word for today would be windy; it's been overcast since dawn but not dull, it's been chilly but not cold and it's been dry with just a hint of a smir a couple of times in the last hour, but throughout it's been windy.

Temperature currently 8.3deg.C down from a maximum of 10.1deg.C at 14:10 and up from a minimum of 1.2deg.C at 01:53, humidity is 80%, wind has dropped now to 2 to 5mph but was 10 to 15mph earlier and is moving from a southwesterly towards a westerly, pressure is 1019.8hPa dropping like a stone, there's been 0.2mm of rain in the last 24 hours and cloud cover is 8/8.

  11. Lambs are appearing in the fields around here now also. Poor wee things probably think that the world is a place of gin clear skies and bright sunshine flooding their green pastures. They're in for a bit of a shock tomorrow, methinks. In the meantime it has remained cloudless and sunny all day with a maximum temperature of 13.1deg.C at 16:45, just the thing for coffee out the back at the farm and beers out the back at home. Oh, and a bit of fishing in between. Lovely day again.

  12. What a gorgeous day! Just been out for a walk around the village, or maybe I should say a procession as every man, woman, child and dog for miles around seemed to have the same idea. Perfect conditions though; cloudless sky, bright sunshine and not too warm. Lovely.

Temperature currently 12.8deg.C (maximum for the day so far) up from a minimum of -2.4deg.C at 06:50, frost melted by 10:00, humidity 52%, wind 1 to 3mph north-northeasterly, pressure is 1036.6hPa steady, there's been no rain in the last 24 hours and cloud cover is 0/8.

  13. This morning was overcast and a bit chilly, only hitting 8.2deg.C at noon, but then this afternoon the sky cleared, wall to wall sunshine ensued and we got up to 10.8deg.C at 17:00. Spent a while up at the farm and found some chickens. I think they are trying to escape, which is disappointing as we've only just met.

Temperature 6.8deg.C up from a minimum of 3.4deg.C at 06:49, humidity is 69%, wind 0 to 2mph northwesterly, pressure is 1033.5hPa rising slowly, there's been no rain in the last 24 hours and the sky is currently clear of cloud.

  14. The temperature rose to 15.1deg.C yesterday in almost constant sunshine here. Not quite up to that today.

  15. Not a bad morning in that it's been dry, only moderately breezy and although there are some beefy clouds about it's well broken to the south, which is allowing a fair amount of sunshine through.

Temperature 14.8deg.C up from a minimum of 10.7deg.C at 07:44, humidity is 71%, wind 2 to 6mph south-southwesterly with a maximum gust of 14mph at 12:36, pressure is 1025.1hPa steady, there's been no rain in the last 24 hours and cloud cover is 6/8.

  16. 'Twas a busy week. Wednesday and Thursday was spent cleaning daughter's flat in Glasgow, (overlooking Kelvingrove Park, very nice, but 4th floor and me with my lungs!) then on Friday she got the keys to the farm up in the hills above Uplawmoor, and it snowed. Weekend spent cleaning new house and introducing ourselves to the ground maintenance team and looking, in vain, for the ducks and chickens. Furniture delivered from storage yesterday so now beginning to look like a home. Getting furniture lorry up the drive was fun. I'm now resting at home in a darkened room.

Temperature maxed out at 12.8deg.C at 02:17 with a minimum of 11.8deg.C at 06:58, it's currently 12.7deg.C, humidity is 89%, wind 4 to 14mph south-southwesterly with a maximum gust of 25mph at 02:14, pressure is 1016.1 rising briskly, there's been 2.8mm of rain since midnight and 9.4mm in the last 24 hours and cloud cover is 8/8 so it's dull and damp right now.
