  1. Relentless rain continues here in Mid Suffolk. The road under the railway bridge in Needham Market is underwater though a prone flood site near to Needham Lakes. reports of some homes flooded in the town, minor roads in the villages reported to be impassable due to flooding again in areas notorious for such when it pours.
  2. Thunder and lightning observed in Needham Market accompanied by torrential rain for the last hour or so.
  3. Lots of downdraughts from this decaying storm over Needham Market, enough to damage garden blooms but no rain whatsoever. Double annoying
  4. Storms in Brandon, Suffolk according to my friend. Dry and sunny here in Needham Market!
  5. Sun is back out in mid Suffolk after thundery rain earlier this morning. Temps should respond in kind I would think. Whether that helps convectively remains to be seen later.
  6. A couple of claps of thunder and torrential rain here in Needham Market. First significant rainfall I've seen for months.
  7. It was light rain as I came through Thurston then a Monsoon in BSE. Quite remarkable.
  8. Can well believe that. Never seen the roads that bad round there before.
  9. No rain in Stowmarket when I left at 6am but had to bail out off A14 at Bury due to the flooded dual carriageway near the Sugar Factory. Bury was chaos near the station, drains overflowing and flooded roads. Back to Stow and dry although there are now a couple of showers not thing like the intensity of that rain in Bury though.
  10. Cracking little storm for the last 20 minutes at Needham Market in Suffolk. Decent cgs and a deluge of rain
  11. Cracking storm brushing past Needham Market atm. Plenty of cg and intracloud lightning ?
  12. Very violent winds now here in mid Suffolk. Started up out of nowhere.
  13. Getting quite gusty now in mid Suffolk - whistling away even though Wattisham's peak in last hour of 43mph. Worse to come I fear.
