  1. Sounds lovely! Nice and cool. A sprinkle of frost, maybe a little snow day, but no big deal if not. Very kind of you!
  2. Can someone please get Sunny76 on the honour’s list for services to enduring chilly damp weather in Northern Europe? Their struggle deserves the highest recognition.
  3. So you’ve made a statement you can’t qualify? Good job.
  4. Hard agree! Eureka’s climate is particularly interesting - thank you for sharing!
  5. The thing is, there’s a lot that we can do to mitigate chilly evenings; heating, extra layers, blankets, etc. When it’s hot and humid at night, there’s relatively little that can be done to get comfortable enough for decent rest (there are only so many layers to take off!). Even with AC it’s muggy. And poor sleep, especially over several nights, does have an impact on work and quality of life.
  6. Time for a reality check. We live in Northern Europe, not the Mediterranean. Manage your expectations; we won’t have 30 degrees and blue skies every day. Even if the weather is great, you’ll be moaning about a single cloud that might appear in a week. You live in a beautiful part of the country, whether it’s sunny, cloudy, or chucking it down. Bournemouth had lovely weather at the weekend and it’s going to be fine over the next few days. Isn’t there anything good you can take from that? If you’re desperate for tropical weather, come up to London for the day. Actually, stay for the night. It’s hideously humid - something to really whinge about.
